Dirteatr717
Guess it's time for a cage and a hardtop/softtop... Did a full roll to the right down a hill and landed on my tires. Thankfully Brett (cherokee chief) drove my truck a mile or so out of the woods to a main highway despite The gas tank pissing, coolant leaking and no freaking headlights and the rear driveshaft fell out so I only had fwd... I'm at the hospital now getting xrays.
GirsMJ86
That's rough man, good thing Brett was there. Hope you're doing well. On the plus side, cage and soft top MJ.
H3RESQ
Oh DUDE! That sucks. That is exactly why even though I don't like them I exo'd my MJ cab. I wonder, did they ever make a convertible conversion back when minitrucks were the hot thing? I know they did for 1st and 2nd gen Toyota's but not sure about MJ's
GirsMJ86
Jeep trucks were never anything except regular cabs. There was a crew cab J-Truck prototype that never went into production though. The Dakota had a convertible though I think. Never thought they looked right.

Guy got it a year old, paid a company to chop top it. He had it for sale on CL, but I convinced him to keep it once we talked for a bit. Never made it over to check it out. Black Eliminator convert. OP, glad to hear you aren't hurt more seriously. Keep us informed. Rob
Dirteatr717
I had my cage all planned out! Just needed to buy the tube and I would've had a cage already. Guess I'm a little late on that one huh? I've been thinking about either a cage and a hardtop or finding a victim in a JY to chop the tops. Also need a swb gas tank as mine has a gash in it

neohic
...finding a victim in a JY to chop the tops... This. If it were my truck and it's always been in the family, I'd try and keep it alive. Being that you also had your axles coming together and wheels/tires already figured out, you should really steady the course.

Dirteatr717
Here's a daylight pic, the driver door still closes and opens fine lol the rest of it isn't exactly straight anymore. Every window shattered or fell out except the driver vent window so there's glass everywhere and I'm still brushing it off my skin :(

I'm looking at another mj today to cut the too off and maybe picking up a tudor cherocar as a daily

Dirteatr717
Well sunday night I went wheeling with some friends and ending up rolling off a cliff and landing back on my tires, had my good friend brett (cherokee_chief) drive my truck out for me in fwd and gas leaking out of the tank and glass everywhere. i couldnt use my left arm at all so I couldnt drive at all. fast forward to today, I was going to look at a 2 door cherokee to use as a daily and all my friends said they couldnt see me driving a cherokee. My friend brandon was suppose to drive me to go check out said cherokee and told me hes running late. 2 minutes later a parade of all my good friends came flying around the corner with horns and sirens blaring and said they have a surprise for me and 2 seconds later my friend Brandon who I owe big time for everything hes done for me came in hot with another comanche on a tow dolly and every said surprise don't flip this one! can't thank them enough!
