my86mj Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 what are some names you guys have given your trucks? and it acceptable to change the name of your truck?
Automan2164 Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 Past and present: The Diesel The Farmer The Reverend (Rev) The Unicorn The Elim The Surrogate The UAV Some I didn't have long enough to name, and or remember what I was referring to them as. Rob
knever3 Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 :agree: I can only dream how much more I would be attached to my cars if I had named them!!
Zenobian_84 Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 Some of the names I've given to my truck. Piece of $#!& a$$hole Junk Heap ....... You get the idea. But that's only when I get mad at it. I've taken a shine to calling it The Honcho, as of late. And yes, I think it's fine if names change. Sometimes, something you thought was fitting at one time isn't as time goes by.
neohic Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 I used to give a name to every vehicle I owned. Then after selling off a few and getting really bummed out because I was missing them I stopped doing it. Had a VW Beetle named Slugger and an MJ named Scrappy... I especially miss Scrappy... the list goes on.
SW86 Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 ive thought about naming the MJ but can't come up with a decent name, so i didnt. now that i think about it the only vehicle thats had a name was my first truck a (91 S10) we called "scooter" but i think one of my parents named it before it was mine. i don't think it matters what you call it or how many times you change it as long as you like it
shelbyluvv Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 See my sig... My CTD is nick named Buffy for Great White Buffalo. It is a 4 door, long bed with a shell and it is white. The WJ is the Dragin' Wagon. Due to it being the lowest rig in my club and dragging on every rock it goes over. The Shelby is just called Shel'.
jimoshel Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 Got a '77 J20, Yellow I call Goldie. The GF called it that the first time I picked her up in it and the name just stuck. Had a '52 CJ5, original Hawaiian Pink I called the 'Pink lady of the night" and sometimes 'The pimp mobile.'. Note. 'The Pink Lady of The Night' is the censors wording. Not mine.
MJRemi Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 I can just picture 'jimoshel' saying goodnight to all his trucks, like the closing scene of " The Waltons ".
vaquaro Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 :clapping: By the time he called them all to say goodnight , it would be morning , He'd have to start all over again :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I can just picture 'jimoshel' saying goodnight to all his trucks, like the closing scene of " The Waltons ".
ComancheKid45 Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 Recently ive named 2 of mine, but they all have theyre identities :D Names are listed in my signiture ;)
BLHTAZ Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 We call ours Joe, but that is short for Mighty Joe. My wife loved that movie and it is the first thing she thought of when I brought the "MJ" home.
