    Honda CT110

Love it and I'm interested in your bags because I'm looking for some for my new adventure ride. Not near as cool as your bike. Wife and I own our very first bikes, her CL 70 is a hoot to ride, but would love to own a CT. May start looking.
  2. Did you check them with an ohmmeter? When i fried mine you could not tell visually.

    Computer help.

I'm not surprised that it doesn't make any sense, I'm not a computer guru and don't know a lot of the terminology. But, like I said, if I look at a few threads and particularly one with pics, I can't open another for awhile. If I read a news story on Yahoo, I can't open another, etc., it's just like its completely overloaded or something. The desktop has done it awhile, that's why I started using the laptop. Like I said, I blamed it on the 1000's of photos. The laptop is a NV53 gateway and it has 4gb of memory, says so on the sticker anyway. This computer was my MIL's before she passed. I reformatted and will not allow anybody else on it. Running Norton's 360, for the last couple of years, after using AVG for a long time. Really don't know what else to say, may have to reformat again, would rather not. Thanks, guys.

    Computer help.

Thanks guys, did what u said, got malwarebytes downloaded on both computers, found a lot on the desktop, nothing on the laptop. Memory, hah, I remember installing more memory on my first computer, I thought these newer computers were the bomb. I hate them now.

    Computer help.

Gonna give this a try, because this is the only forum I fell comfortable enough to ask a stupid question. I've asked the IT folks at work and can't get a decent answer that I can understand. Here goes: computers have become a pain, I love to surf and have since my first computer with windows 98. Now my current computers are driving me nuts. When I surf this forum for instance, I read a thread and I literally have to close out the browser and come back later to go onto another thread or even to post a reply. Now, my desktop is loaded down with MANY of my wifes photos, I expect it to be slow and overloaded. But, my laptop is not and I get the same thing, THIS PAGE CANNOT BE LOADED. I'm sick of seeing it every time I try to surf the forums or try to buy something. Is it something I'm doing, does anybody have any advice? I appreciated it. Windows 7 on both. High speed internet for what its worth, The old Windows 98 and dial up was way better to me.
  8. My son took diesel at nashville auto diesel. It is quite expensive, but he is working for Caterpillar as a field tech with a service truck. 60,70 hours a week making more than i made at the Fire Dept when i retired and he loves it. Don't think he'll ever be without work.

    ground hornets

Several applications of Sevin dust. They wore me out last year. Took awhile to find thier entrance. I also waited until almost dark to apply the dust with no issues. I forgot this, i doused the hole with a can of hornet spray prior to dusting.
  10. I ordered 2 different accelerator cables this year, they both were the same and the "ball" end will not fit the stock pivot ball. They were made to fit a larger ball. So i wound up finding a couple of good working cables at the jy and sending them back.
  11. Congrats, I'll be celebrating our 25th anniversary next week.
  12. Sorry, punch and hammer for key, but you've already figured that out.
  13. Close to me, but i can't deal w/rust. Rockers look bad. Actually looks like a truck i tried to buy years ago owned by a jeep dealer salesman who lived in my hometown and worked in Henderson across the river.

    Headliner (Tn)

Queen City in Clarksville has one as well, The headliner was still in it the other day, but in rough shape. The board might be good, though. It was one ragged out Eliminator.
  15. Back to the brake switch. I had read all the posts, drill hole, grind to match flat spot, etc. That's what I did, I even cut off the old rod and vise gripped it to the new and ground to the flat spot. Measurements with a micrometer were the same. What I finished up with after adding metal, was different measurements, didn't grind off as much, but it works now. I re- installed the brake switch on the old rod to get a feel for how it worked, also hooked my ohmmeter to it. After grinding the new rod the second time I installed the switch on it to try it out before installing booster in truck. It worked perfectly. So, long story short, don't try and match the old rod the first time. Grind, install switch, try out, grind again only if nessesary. Moving on to installing new brake lines and hose in the rear of truck. Hopefully, I can try it out tomorrow.
  16. I wanted to like it, but it's a little cartoonish. The Cherokees grown on me, especially after driving my neighbor's, they really are nice, but the only one I'd have is the Trailhawk, way out of my price range. Maybe if I see one in person.
  17. Got the stoplights working and m/c plumbed using the 01WJ lines, double flared on the MJ side. Will be a couple of days before I can try it out. I'm waiting on the adj. prop valve and I found some leaky brake lines on the rear, the time to fix those.
  18. I'm in the middle of doing this right now. My stocker has been leaking air, and I'm off work all week, so I figured it was a good time to do this. I have a booster from an 01 WJ and a booster from an 06 XJ. The XJ will bolt up w/o modifying the firewall, the WJ will not(I'm using the 1/4 spacer). I believe I'll be able to keep the washer bottle with the WJ, don't think it's possible with the XJ, it's longer and tapered to accommodate the firewall. The WJ fits much better. The XJ has double flare lines which may help with the plumbing, however I haven't gotten to that yet. I'm having problems with the brake switch. CRITICAL, I took off too much and will have to add some metal and start over. I measured the distances with a micrometer and they're the same but no worky. Sucks. I've already modified the firewall and that was very easy, I simply pried it up with vice grips and it doesn't have that "beat up" look to it. So, as soon as I can get the stoplights working I'll get to the plumbing. I'm also going to plumb in an adjustable prop valve to rear wheels as my original blew out in a panic stop years ago and I removed it. I'm tired of my rear wheels locking up in the rain. Anyway, it's turning into a multi day job and if I don't have any better luck, I'll order a rebuilt stocker and abandon the project. As far as plumbing goes, I found some adapters for bubble flares to double flares and might use them if theres enough room between m/c and washer bottle, I'm kinda doubting it, But not there yet. If you get the switch deal worked out(pain in the butt), seems like all will be fine with the WJ booster.
  19. It aint fun, I've done it twice. That's the best writeup I've seen. I was able to find the pivot pin tool in stock at a local parts store(not a chain store), one that kept a good supply of tools. Good luck.

  21. Wish someone would come get mine for a SWB, FREE. Sorry for the hijack, but it made me think of it.
  22. Wow, you really wanted one. Well, so do I, but I wasn't even willing to drive 4.5 hours to get one. That one might have been on CL last year. I called about one in Trenton IIRC. Anyway, nice, and i'm jealous as well.
  23. Been pretty much ignoring threads about the new Cherokee so far. My neighbor bought one, so I was able to get a test drive and close up view. Yes, it is a NICE vehicle. I wonder about the tranny, and someone brought up a good point above-how will it hold up driving it like a JEEP. I hope they sell a ton of them and I think they will. Doesn't matter to me as I don't buy new vehicles or even slightly new vehicles. Well, I did buy a new 09 Sentra(a terrific and simple car, which my daughter drives now). I definitely wouldn't mind owning a Trailhawk, but it aint going to happen.
  24. A lot better than the 2 I started with. 4 cyl, 6?
