See it now. Gotcha, I'll take them apart and send them to you. pm your address. I'll try to get them the PO if they're not closed again tommorow.

Can't see your pics, but I have 2 opening wing windows in the back of the truck to be thrown away. If they have the part, your welcome to it. I honestly can't picture in my mind what you need.

:huh???: Sorry, I didn't see anything to get riled about. The Comanche section anyway...

Got one. Whats your zip to calculate price?
-
Got one if you need it. $30 shipped.

Thats why I bought Rangers and S-10's, I remember pricing Comanches. But, hindsight is 20-20.
-
Don't know the sizes, but I need to replace mine as well.

:agree: x2 on the barn Interesting topper also.

Get a Mightyvac bleeder. I bought one at Autozone a couple of months ago. It was $34.95 which is a good price and cheaper than the other places. I don't know how I made it without one all these years. When you change your hoses it will be a good time to suck all the fluid through your system.

The windshield sealant worked out nicely and I believe that leaky window is fixed(I could see that leak) and the water ran under the floor mat into the carpet. Thats the good news. The bad-I have other leaks to fix but at least they run onto the floor mat and not the carpet/floorboard. I'm thinking the windshield area, out with the baby powder. Image Not Found Image Not Found

I'll try, got to go back to work today. No adjustment on these and I've done everything I can. It's actually one of those things that has no explaination and it drives me nuts. I filled in the crack with windshield sealant and it looks great, the trim is black so you never know it. It's actually going to rain today so I'm exicted to see if I stopped/slowed down that leak.

Thats how I did it, but I'll fiddle with it some more. Looking at my drivers side opening vent, it has that gap also, when I put the old PS window back in it has the gap. So, maybe I have something out of kilter. The window was perfect in the junkyard donor. Thanks.

So, I finally make it to the pull a part to get a dash wiring harness/FB to fix my electrical woes and non-opening windows to fix my water leaks. I pick the best windows from about 10 Cherokees. Install them this morning and wind up with a gap that will have to be siliconed I guess. My question-did I forget another seal? I put the old one back in and the same gap. There were no gaps on the donor. Am I doing something wrong? Image Not Found

Help sent with thanks for my favorite forum(by far).

Where are you from? I pulled some parts from a Comanche, including a tailgate, that was originally bought at Cain's as well. That was several years ago at a junkyard in Paducah. Might go check out some parts.

Engine rebuild or buy used engine?
KYMJ replied to TyeT's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
My opinion is that you will save a ton of money going used. Rebuilts are 1500+. Even if you do it yourself, machining costs are high. Tons of used JEEP motors around. Even if you go HO, which requires some mods you'll save. It's been done, thats the route I will go when the time comes. Good advice above :agree: -
New project 1988 MJ Comanche Pioneer
KYMJ replied to Texas88's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
Glad you were able to save it. Mice and Comanches are a common story. My first had a nest in the headliner. It had sat a while also. Just do what I did, pull it in the garage and tackle the problems 1 at a time. You're at the right place for answers and maybe parts. Welcome, I went to HS in Universal City(San Antonio) many years ago. -
The Geolander AT/S is a very good tire. I've got them on mine that I took off my Grand Cherokee and plan to replace them with same when they finally wear out. I put them on my F150 as well. They are every bit as good as BFG's and Revos, in my opinion, as I've had both. A lot cheaper as well.

I've got an extra in Western KY, maybe meet in Louisville or something. It needs some work. It looks good from the outside, kinda of bowed on the inside. And 2 mysterous holes on the top near the ends that will have to welded or bondo'ed. Not bad at all. Maybe trade for something or whatever. I can send pics after I tile my bathroom.

Ramien noodles doesn't go bad. Lived on that and ....beer. Been there done that, it will be worth it.

The wiper "box" that velcros to the lower dash panel needs replacing. Look for a gray box. Find one at the JY. I had to replace it on both my Comanches due to the same symptoms.

612to303s 89 Comanche (New Flat Black Paint Job!)
KYMJ replied to 612to303's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
Details on area anybody? Starting point, size? A coworker with a bone stock LJ is going to CO this month and was as blown away with the pics as I was. Any other suggestions for a stock JEEP trip? Thanks! -
I bought one off ebay. Didn't have near the padding as the stock one and didn't lay flat in places, so be careful there. It was acceptable, but not perfect. And if your patient, I'd get samples, you would be surprised how many grays there are.
-
...or you can just use 1/4 bolts, washers and nuts, I've done that a couple of times. I have a set of retainers I plan to repair like above or not. And yes, you WILL break the studs, no matter how careful or how much time you soak them in PB Blaster. They are a pain.
