Can Spell Comanche

Can Spell Comanche (2/11)

  1. From what Ive Learned at Tech School: To check tie rod ends for looseness, jack up front end, grab wheel at each side (9 and 3) on a clock and try to shake, if there is looseness, it could be your tie rod ends. To check steering shaft looseness, ( the one that goes from steering wheel to steering box) grab it and gently move it around, if there is alot of play, it may be steering shaft u joints. I would first start with the tire shake though. Any play in the steering system will be multiplied greatly bby the time it reaches the tires. another good thing ive found was to have someone turn the wheel and look at where the steering shaft meets the steering box, if the gear on the steering gearbox moves a little and the tires don't move at all, it might be your gearbox. Sorry I started to ramble on Hope this helps

  8. Hey quick question, With SOA on a cherokee Dana 44 rear will a cherokee 6.5 inch lift leaf spring provide 6.5 inches of lift on a comanche? Just trying to design my future lift, Thanks!
  9. Not exactly a Comanche but pretty unique.
  10. Got the header panel on and took a couple pictures after Pickens Tech School. I like how I park in the only dirt parking spot everyday in the huge parking lot. Thanks! -Tyson
  11. That Waggy Header Panel is still at UPAP. Crazy kid tried to charge me 110 for the panel because it had 4 headlights and a wiring harness -_-. But i painted up my old one and threw it on. Ps. Your Comanche Is Amazing, what lift do you have? -Tyson
  12. Update So I decided to paint my comanche last week for less than 50 dollars and it turned out pretty cool. I used Rustoleum Professional Flat Black In a gallon and I sprayed it with a 10$ harbor freight spray gun. I also coated both bumpers with bedliner and ill take some pictures of them tomorrow Just need new rims and tint and it will be 100% black. Thanks -Tyson
