Good thing I looked down. And a photo of the happy birthday Jeep as it sat with exactly 150,000 on the ticker: I knew it was coming up too. I'd have been unhappy if I would have missed it. 87Warrior Posted November 11, 2011 Share Posted November 11, 2011 I had a 100k mile picture of my TJs odometer, but it disappeared. Doesn't really matter, age is at 110k now. More impressive is my wife's Camry. When we got married last year, her car had less than 120k on it. It's now above 155k. Almost 40k miles in a year. carnuck Posted November 11, 2011 Share Posted November 11, 2011 Speedometer cable broke on my '86 around the 400,000 mile mark and it kept going for 2 years more (new owner) I replaced the motor last year after I got it back (my son took the old one to rebuild. I pulled what I thought I might use one day from it and while pilfering threw the P.O. junk I glaced down to see 314k on the odometer. :thumbsup: Course I didnt take a picture. terrawombat Posted December 21, 2011 Share Posted December 21, 2011 I should be there pretty soon! Just passed over 191K last week and will be at 192.5K after the holidays. Once I finally get a place in MD and start moving my stuff from NJ to MD, it'll roll over 200K in no time. Unfortunately, without access to a shop or a place to work on my XJ, it's beginning to feel like a vehicle with 191K miles on it. I need to replace all of the front ball joints and tie rod ends, control arm bushings, and shocks. That should tighten up the front end to make it feel "newer" again.
