I can relate to that

I'm going to be tearing my truck apart soon enough, it started out as me buying a cheap beater back up ride, now its my DD/RestoMod . . . the K2500 diesel went from DD to beater back up ride . . .

It has helped me rationalize my need to drive a 23 YO rusty PU, with pride, when I really have no need to. It has helped me rationalize spending money on a rusty 23 YO 160,000mile PU when my pristine '73 Hornet with 50K on the clock has sat in a barn for 6 years with the engine apart. Thanks CC. No one likes being crazy by themselves :D

I was proud and excited to get my MJ, then found the club, and realized that I didn't just buy a truck, I bought a place to get rid of all of that extra cash I had lying around... lol. Thanks guys, for helping me turn the truck of my dreams into the truck of my dreams...

I have found that the two Jeep specific forums I frequent, Rubicon Owners and CC, wind up being a connection to some long lost family. I have met a WIDE variety of people from these groups over the years and am just amazed at the level of respect everybody has for another. It doesn't matter if you are a newbie in a stock rig or have been around the block in something that hardly resembles a Jeep, we are all here for the same reason and have some secret level of understanding for each other.

Prolly why I wear through phones in 4 months, the BB wasn't intend for continouse computer duty nor the rough service usage of land scape and lawn care work lol !

Turned my weekend household project beater into my full blown project vehicle replacing my volkswagen addiction which I could no longer afford. Free CFC parts didnt help this addiction either... turned my 87 Sportruck into a full power optioned Waggy grilled beauty! Thanks Comanche Club!

Not only has this site helped with tech issues but fills a sense of belonging with like minded individuals  . And when my wife (frequently) gets angry at my spending time and money on "that thing" I explain it is my duty and responsibility, along with my Comanche Brethren, to save and restore as many Comanches as we can. We are like the crew on Whale Wars trying to slow down the destruction of an endangered specie. Long Live the MJ.
