GreasemonkeySC
Thanks to my good buddy, and his parts Cherokee; I now have a completely new vacuume harness. I'll pop it in later tonight, and finally I can get the entire HVAC functioning properly.

Minuit
^I like Fluid Film for things like that. I know it's just wax, but I swear that stuff is magical. Over the last week, I blew more than $500 in two transactions on A/C parts. I've got a brand new Sanden compressor on my desk right now and the rest of the parts are either here or getting here in the next few days. With a little luck, my truck will have a brand new A/C system by the end of the week! Just in time for winter!

Used it once since. My last thing to do is use the foam fan & duct cleaner. I can only imagine how bad it is.
carnuck
I hope both 2wd trucks, the cut in 1/2 parts rig, canopy, Ford 8.8, etc go away for $1000. All my other non-FSJ parts are going away too. Edited November 4, 2018 by carnuck

GreasemonkeySC
AC is out again. This go around the service ports blew the seal on the valve portion!Anyone know if the valves are rebuild able, or where I can find the correct valves?

They did away with them later on and replaced them with standard schrader valves thankfully. I've still got my old compressor sitting around. I could yank those fittings off of it and send them to you if you'd be interested. I don't remember them ever leaking - one of the few components of the original system that didn't. I found some new ones from the supplier below. Did you try replacing the o-rings?? That's what usually goes bad with them. In my case though the stems were leaking. But this guy has (had) them. I'll look at his site.I have an ac parts supplier about 30 min down the road. I had them make my hose between the dryer & condenser, and it was only $25-30. I might see if they can just make an adapter with 134A fittings, and delete the valve all together.

GreasemonkeySC
The service valves make it a lot easier and simpler to recharge.. Very true, but it's another seal, or o-ring to fail. I was thinking more in the direction of simple.

GreasemonkeySC
Started carefully taking my OE tail lights apart. They will get a reflective silver coating inside, and the lenses polished. If I can't polish them, I'll start fabricating a set of translucent red acrylic lenses.Helps to work at a place where we CNC route, cut, and form plastics. GreasemonkeySC
Might be a market for that lol Getting them apart is no joke! They are glued together, and I spent about 45min with my razor knife & panel puller trying to get that one apart without busting the lense.I'll probably end up with 5-6hr labor in the set if they can be polished. If I had several sets I could try to fix a set, and try new lenses on a set to see how it turns out.
