so i was talking with a co-worker today about the first mod to a car/truck. he asked me what i think the first thing people do to there vehicles. i told him either exhaust or stereo. he thought i was dumb cause he thinks that rims are peoples first mods.

so what was the 1st modification you made to your MJ.

the first thing i did was a flowmaster 40 muffler.

Probably Stereo and speakers since it didn't have any...

Took the Push Bar off as soon as it came home...probably doesn't count as a mod...

Swapped Rims/Tires was pretty early on also...

The real first thing I did was to put mirrors on the doors as it came with none.

Then...

-Bucket seats

-3.5" lift

-wheels/tires

etc, etc, etc... ;)

first mod was replacing the crapped out factory shift knob with a pool cue ball, then wheels/tires, then a 4WD conversion :D

Well, do you consider completely dismantling your truck a mod? If so that was my first. If not I guess the paint job was the first.

First mod for me was to install a stereo, then change the cluster to tac, then cruise control, bedliner, and alum wrangler wheels and tires.

My first mod was installing a new front end: bumper, both fenders, header panel/grill/light assembly. The guy I bought it from had broadsided a deer at 55mph.

If fixing body work doesn't count as a mod, or fixing anything, like a leaking gas tank, track bar and bracket etc., rear springs, then the first mod I did was to add front tow hooks. After that I installed a CB radio, got tires and installed 1.75" lift blocks in the front. Oh, and installed a class III receiver somewhere in there to act as a rear recovery point, tow my trailer and carry my bicycle rack. I think that was before the tow hooks.

mine was a radio since it had none, then front and rear bumpers, followed by fog lights, then painted rims black 8)
