I will dig out my comanche fob and see if I can get a decent pic. I found mine with a set of keys hanging in the ignition of an mj @ the junkyard.

Tires are one of my favorite things to do(as long as they aren't low pros going on dubs). I do all my own with spoons and the help of my MJ. I can change out 4 in about an hour if I am in a hurry. Usually I just take my time and kill a couple of hours.

Sweet. sounds like one more project for the list. Any recommendations to make the goo removal easier?

Ok I would love to make the move to the 95+ gasket as apposed to the old black goo/trim option. If I am reading everything correctly all I need is the new style rubber gasket, correct? Just don't wanna go rippin out a windshield and not have all the stuff to put it back in. How difficult is it to remove the old "goo" from my existing windshield? I have worked with glass and windshield before just never in an xj, mj.

Wade, take a look at my build thread I cut my front fenders and removed the air dam completely. I prefer the way it looks without it.

I took that pic, and I saw that up close once and it was done nicely and details were taking care of. If you go this route please make it look good and not just slap it up there and go then have it look like a Ranger with a 6" body lift and able to see on the other side, :shake: I hate body lifts over 2". I still don't see an MJ in that pic.... :chillin:

Sorry no pics but I just stuck mine on top of the dash just above the radio. Sticky velcro holds it in place nice and solid. And before anyone jumps me for sticking stuff to my dash, I wanna say it was already cracked and tore up.

Don't know if it counts but I helped with an axle swap at a campground on an xj. I have done U-joints in parts store parking lots, on the trail, in campgrounds, on the side of the road, in the grocery store parking lot, in my parents backyard....... Guess I should probably recheck the driveshaft angles on the cj huh? lol

Thanks for the move. If anyone is on the fence I want to let you know the mud pit is dug and soaking. We are working on a live band and possibly a hog roast. I have plenty of room in the yard for tents or if your quick enough you can possibly get a spot on the floor in the house.

Will a pilot bearing for a TJ with an AX-15 work? Just trying to simplify what I am asking for when I go to the parts store.

You say this as if he is the next coming of christ! Maybe he thought he was on that level, but to most of us, he was just another screwed up celebrity. Yeah its horrible that he died so young, but with as much money as hes made and squandered, most of us really don't feel any sympathy for him. One could say that he is the product of todays pop culture, but that doesnt give him or any other pop idol a free pass to act the way they do. I guess the bigger part of that problem is that soo many people support these idiots and just keep on enabling them to behave that way. Makes me want to go live in a 10x10 cabin in the woods and write a manifesto! :rant: Don't get me wrong I in no way like the idea of him pulling more of his $#!&. I am just a fed up with all the bs that he got away with as most people are. What do you think would have happened to the average joe if we dangled a kid from a balcony or had little kids sleeping in our beds? We would be in jail thats what. But because he is the "king of pop" he got away with it. Sometimes I wish I had money then I could get away with murder too.....

I liked his music. Didn't like the man. Sorry to hear he died just from the angle of his children have lost their father. Other than that I am already sick of hearing about it. Can't help but wonder if its all a publicity stunt to kickstart the upcoming tour.......

I don't agree with the bill at all. But something I think we need to remember is that there is nothing saying we have to trade our vehicles in.

Man if I only had the funds. I like this much more than the run of the mill 2X4 bumpers everyone else is making (no offense to anyone who makes them I just don't care for them on a MJ). I will probably be in touch when I come up with some cash.
