Will the drums brakes off of a D35 fit on a D44 if they both came from 89's? I have a D44 waiting to go in but am missing brakes off one side. Wondering if I can just swap on my D35 brakes and call it good since they are not that old. Also what size U bolts do I need? If I can get those 2 issues sorted out I will be ready to swap it in. :cheers:

Not much doing lately. I installed all new emergency brake cables last night. other than that been too busy cutting firewood to get much else done. I am contemplating going the AX-15 route with my 4x4 swap since I can't seem to find any harnesses or TCU's.

Ok while we are talking sliders..... I have a factory slider in my truck but the latch is broke. Is there a way to remove the old latch and replace it? Looks like its glued on. Ok back on topic. Have you tried lightly heating it with a heat gun or hair dryer? Sometimes heat will soften whatever it is that is holding it shut and allow you to pull them apart.

I would guess we cannot. I know only some of the newer cars will run on E85. I am ASSuming not.

Ok I picked up the speedocables, the transducer, the vaccum servo, the brain and a stalk yesterday at the JY. However upon inspection of my truck I can't find the plug for the module under the dash. Is it possible I don't have it? I was really hoping to have everything for the swap but now I am not so sure. I am also not sure where the vaccum servo should go. I pulled all my stuff from an 85 will it still work?

Good thing its labeled so you don't mistake it for a Big box......

I am gonna just flatten the header to match. If you look at the factory header panel the corner kinda tapers off anyways. so i am just gonna match the header panel to the fender.

Well I got the headliner recovered and reinstalled last night and a new tie rod end installed on the pitman side of the draglink. Also installed my lighted vanity mirrors and wired up a 12 accesory port in the bottom vent just below the ashtray (stole this idea from someone here and I love it). I don't have pics yet but am getting ready to go shoot some. Should have them up in a few hours. :cheers: Edit: As promised here are the pics. The new headliner. Lighted Vanity mirror visors 12V accessory port 12V accesory outlet. And as promised the illusive lip. That is the door key for my truck to give you a perspective on how minute the gap is. It is the same on both sides.

Neutral safety switch???? I don't know this is just a guess.
