  10. Ok I'll give that a try. I couldnt even get it to latch when I tried last time. But I didn't oil it either. My build: https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=https://comancheclub.com/topic/8033-finally-found-onenow-it-has-a-new-floor/&share_tid=8033&share_fid=53169&share_type=t
  11. Welcome to the community. This is a great place to start: http://cruiser54.com/ As far as the 4wd goes, you will need a 4wd trans, tcaseand shift linkage, driveshaft, plus a few interior parts. My build: https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=https://comancheclub.com/topic/8033-finally-found-onenow-it-has-a-new-floor/&share_tid=8033&share_fid=53169&share_type=t

  13. Yes I have. I have a pretty bad leak at the cap still. I tried to do cruisers mod to the cap but it made it too tight to get all the way on. Been thinking about a late model valve cover swap. 14. Stiffer isn't always better when it comes to engine and trans mounts. Ask the folks that have ran poly bushings. I wouldnt try to re-enginerd it. I would install a new factory mount and call it a day.
  15. I would have to agree. I had the same issue before I replaced my cable. Now smooth as a babys bottom.
  16. 167,000 running like a champ. I have entertained the idea of swapping motors but this one isnt terrible. Just thought about a new one with less blow by and consequently fewer oil leaks.
  17. 10-15yrs ago when I worked retail in town there were about 8-10 running around our little town. Now I fell fortunate to see an xj on the street. Its been a while since I have seen another MJ on the road. I have seen a few through craigslist and marketplace ads but only a very small handful.
  18. My dad and I used to use chicken wire or window screen to hold the bondo. lol
  19. Jorge Sprave (SP?) of the "the slingshot channel" on you tube. He makes some amazing projectile slinging devices and is quite entertaining to watch.
  20. I have buckets in my MJ right now but still have my bench. I prefer the bench to the buckets as far as interior space and usability go. However my bench has broke down bad enough that I can't sit in it for more than about 2mins without my back hurting. I intend to get it redone and put it back in at some point. I do think the buckets are more comfortable than the bench and kinda like the sporty feel it gives the truck, but the bench is still my favorite. I didnt buy my MJ wanting a sports car, it is a pickup truck. lol

  25. Ok the saga continues. I picked up another shaft for a 97 zj. The shaft itself looks to be correct diameter, but the section from just outboard of the seal to the inboard end of the shaft are smaller diameter. Have done any exact measuring on it yet, but it looks to be the same diameter as my current shaft. I have double and triple checked the seal size and number. Does anyone have a part number for a known good CV shaft that will work with my front end? I'm pulling my hair out on this one. The axle is out of a 90 or 91 mj. Been so long since I pulled it I can't remember for sure. I will get some measurements and pics when I get to the shop.
