  1. I am a residential framer. I am currently working with an Amish friend of mine. We will continue to work until we cannot anymore. Due to lack of materials or some sort of quarantine. That said being an independent contractor, and hearing the the feds are gonna send everyone a check. Coupled with the thought that we might get quarantine or told to shelter in place. I think this is as close as I'm ever gonna get to a PAID vacation. lol That said its the same old projects for me for now. Hoping the 2 week vacation will help me get the cj running again.......
  2. I was on my way home from work last Thursday when I got a wave from some fella in a bone stock zj. Kinda shocked me to the point I didnt wave back. I was just shocked to get a wave. So red zj west bound on 14  this ones for you. Lol My build: https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=https://comancheclub.com/topic/8033-finally-found-onenow-it-has-a-new-floor/&share_tid=8033&share_fid=53169&share_type=t
  3. I did not hook up the reverse lights yet. But it won't take much just have to jumper the correct pins to the old connector and itll work. As for the overall swap, so far it hasnt been difficult just time consuming and sourcing parts was a bit tricky but so far so good.
  4. Bingo. Man you saved the day again. I'm assuming I have to fool it into thinking the nss is allowing it to start? My build: https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=https://comancheclub.com/topic/8033-finally-found-onenow-it-has-a-new-floor/&share_tid=8033&share_fid=53169&share_type=t
  5. I just swapped in the auto harness I aquired from a fellow member. I believe everything is plugged in except this connector and the trans connections obviously. Essentially I have a manual truck with an auto harness. Problem is I have a no crank issue. Turn key everything comes on and operates normally but it won't crank when I turn key. It doesnt click or anything. Its like the starter is unhooked. Any ideas? 6. 31x10.5 will fit in the stock location but you will have to remove the small "splash guard" piece of metal right in front of the rear bumper. If I remember correctly it is juast a few spot welds to drill or grind. 7. I stopped by an oreileys today. The WJ shaft is indeed a smaller diameter. Really thinking I got shipped a misboxed shaft. The part numbers on the boxes matched my order. 10. Does anyone know offhand an of measurement of a 98 am drivers side shaft where the seal rides? I believe mine measure 1.128". But thats from memory of what I measured last night and I'm not home to confirm. My build: https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=https://comancheclub.com/topic/8033-finally-found-onenow-it-has-a-new-floor/&share_tid=8033&share_fid=53169&share_type=t
  11. I have a disconnect housing and am installing one piece shafts. I am refering to the seal on the drivers side (short shaft) just outboard of the carrier. I ordered new ahafts from rock auto for a 98zj. I'm wondering if I have the wrong drivers side shaft. My build: https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=https://comancheclub.com/topic/8033-finally-found-onenow-it-has-a-new-floor/&share_tid=8033&share_fid=53169&share_type=t
  12. I swapped my d30 tho CV shafts recently. However I developed a leak on the drivers side. Stopped at the parts store and picked up a newinner seal and a jug of gear oil inn my way home tonight. Tore the front all apart only to find my inner seal in great shape. After much head scratching and investigating I found the inner diameter of my seal is much larger than the outer diameter of the CV shaft. So back tho the parts storeto look forthe correct seal. My front axle it's from a 90mj. The seal I originally purchased was correct for it factory. The seal listed for a zj has the correct id that I need but was too small on the od. So is there a seal with zj id to fit the CV shaft that will fit my mj housing? 13. Its getting there. Gotta fix a couple small oil leaks and the AC. Then it will be time for the cosmetics. My build: https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=https://comancheclub.com/topic/8033-finally-found-onenow-it-has-a-new-floor/&share_tid=8033&share_fid=53169&share_type=t
  14. Grill and trim painted and installed. And bumper mocked up to test fit. The PO hacked the brackets and welded on the crappy tube bumper. So I am having to custom make brackets to get it mounted. 15. With help from a buddy in the way of motivation I have been yard picking alot here recently. The results are everything for a full power door conversion, a manual regulator to fix my stripped one. A complete header panel with all good trim pieces, a tailgate, a bumper, a set of tail lights, and a few other small parts. Pics will be coming tomorrow. 23. I'm guessing its a dakota part. Or maybe a liberty part. Not an expert but can safely say thats not a renix era mj part. Best I can do. Lol My build: https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=https://comancheclub.com/topic/8033-finally-found-onenow-it-has-a-new-floor/&share_tid=8033&share_fid=53169&share_type=t

  25. And please for the love of everything save any and all old parts and don't throw away anything no matter how simple or common it might seem. I know it might sound like silly advice but I wish I would have known how rare parts were gonna get 10yrs ago I coulda saved alot. Your truck is an amazing specimen of a stock mj. Do all you can to preserve it. Unless you ever want to sell it and ship it to indiana for safe keeping.......
