I havent tackled it yet. Between work and my first visit to Ron's I havent had time to tackle it without being in a rush. I need to spend some time compiling a parts list for the next visit to Ron's (who btw has a couple of those pesky little special tailgate latch bolts). Lol. I will probably get a chance today or tomorrow.

Tool building such as this is where those cheap little welders shine. Cheap just means slightly more crude than a fancy model. The electricity shoved through the metal is still of the same "quality" as an expensive welder. Really depends on the operator. There are welders that could do more with a hobo freight welder that I could do with a brand new miller. don't underestimate the machines ability. It will make a wrench just fine.

I don't know of a write up just on an AC swap. I am sure someone here has an epic build of some sort where they put it into a non AC truck. From what I know it should be a plug and play swap, IF you have all the components. However I don't have any first hand experience that says for sure. Might help to start a tech thread on it. Seems like things get more views there.

Step one: buy most rusty mj you can find. Step two: dash swap the 2 trucks Step three: THIS IS THE IMPORTANT ONE!! Don't do this.

so what happens to the extra half a pancake or cheese slice at the end of the day when they sell an odd number of either item? Doesn't sound like cost savings to me. Sounds like another fast food bonehead. On a side note a friend of mine's son got let go from Hardees for making cheeseburgers and forgetting the burger.

Ah. VERY helpful. I will be tender.

I have not. Figured its gonna be a slow process. I would hate to not be able to get it out. I feel at that point I won't have a choice but to buy one of those rust free southern beds.

I was attempting to adjust my tailgate latches, and as I loosened the driver side catch where the tailgate strap mounts and it snapped off. These are a funny headed bolt for the cable to mount to. Anyone got an extra laying around?

So now you have an extra 231 you won't be using? -
I had a set of 10 pioneers in custom boxes in mine for a few years. WAY too much in my opinion 1 8" sub would be plenty to sound good. 2 10's will piss off alot of neighbors. Lol

What is the best 3 inch lift kit?
watchamakalit replied to COMANCH3's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I would say at least 3. Maybe 3.5. I used bilsteins 5100 for shocks. I wasnt really pricing compared to kits, I wanted the payload capacity. I would have to do some digging to see what I have in it. -

I have these on my truck with 4.5re springs up front and the truck sits level -
Are you just dealing with the rear blinkers not functioning or all of them? Did you change out your blinkers in the fuse block? I had trouble when switching to led had to buy an electronic flasher to replace the thermal. Led lights won't draw enough current to heat a thermal blinker. What 2 lights up front are not working?

Door window visors
watchamakalit replied to Knucklehead97's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I'm not an expert but I believe the front window profile is the same and those are stick on. Should work but I can't say for certain.
