  1. The Laredo was an option package, yes. Short bed bed dimensions are 72 by 55 1/8 inches. An S10 or Ford Ranger bed is close enough that camper shells at least should fit between them. Not sure about bed covers but I'd be willing to bet they'd work. I use imgur.com for all of my pictures. It does all of the code stuff for you. Beautiful BMW, by the way. Always liked how they looked.
  2. Anything's possible with these trucks. You could make a pretty weird option soup if you ordered from the factory.
  3. Oh dear. I shouldn't have looked.
  4. The CPS is basically a magnet that reads grooves on the flywheel. What you do for a CPS is I imagine going to be determined by whether or not the flywheel changes. Even then I think you keep the Renix one. Make sure the replacement is a high quality part and not the $13 Beijing Special. I made that mistake once.
  5. Look at the diff housing. The D35 is round and shaped like an oval. The D44 is more irregular shaped. There's a chart floating around here somewhere. If you can't figure it out, get a picture of the diff and we'll identify it.
  6. That's nice.
  7. Nice car. You don't see those every day. Think I may have seen one in person ever.
  8. Beautiful truck
  9. Good shooting! Any more pics of the truck?
  10. Still not sure of the gender of the seller.
  11. My truck better marry me after all of the money that's been put into it. If I married my truck would I get a tax break? :rotf: Signed, this is better than 95% of the garbage on there anyway.
  12. I don't believe the 91 and later odometers can be modified so easily. On the 90 and earlier you could just spin the numbers but I don't think that works for later models. It is CLEAN and the paint appears to be original. Nice silver color too. With that few miles I would want to check over it real well. trucks don't like not being driven. Ask me how I know :)
  13. Hopefully he gets plenty of trouble free bonding time with his MJ! . :MJ 1: .
  14. Steve, I can't afford to buy even more truck stuff right now, but when I can afford it (hopefully in a few weeks) I would like to get my headliner replaced. I've done a lot of work on my truck recently and the headliner is definitely an eyesore with the rest of my interior in pretty good shape! I'm not sure but I think the color is Medium Gray. It seems like a pretty common color. I'll try to keep you posted. If I can place the order before the end of February, I'll send you a PM with the relevant info.
  15. And on the topic of driving stick, if you keep it as a manual and still convert it to 4WD, your cousin will thank you later once he can drive it well. I know I would. On the topic of teaching someone to drive stick, the theory behind it isn't really hard. 95% of being able to do it properly is practicing skills. It's also very much worth learning, especially from a young age.
  16. Yeah, you'll have to come up with a rear drive shaft. Front driveshaft off an XJ will fit. Also, how much water is coming from the tail pipe? A small amount is normal on a cold start. Is the oil a milkshake or is there any white smoke coming from it at operating temperature?
  17. I think he's saying that the green sensor used to be black.
  18. Very true! :rotf: Another good one Jim.
  19. :agree: Always liked column shifts, I feel strange every time I drive something that doesn't have one.
  20. O2 sensors can certainly cause a miss. A bad one sure did to me. Either way, hope you get it fixed.
  21. Love the progress you're making. Can't say I've ever seen a 4wd with an auto on the column. Great work!
  22. :rotf: That's incredibly brilliant in a mad scientist sort of way.
  23. Typical tune up includes stuff like plugs and wires and cap and rotor. If it hasn't been done recently it probably needs it anyway. If it's missing with any regularity, the first thing I would check would be the pre-cat oxygen sensor. You'll also notice a severe (like 25%) drop in fuel mileage with a bad O2. Not sure about your tach issue, but if it drops all the way to 0 I doubt it's completely related to the miss.
  24. Hey there Sportruck brother! This probably isn't the modifications I would be making, but your plans look pretty interesting so far. Good luck!
