think i just wasted 15 min of my life looking at that!! theres a forum for just about everything nowadays :shake: :rotf:
I went directly to the "the need for speed" section, they are putting 1/8 scale e-savage motors in them...there's bigger and better motors out there than that!
Don't put a quarter in me. I'll never stop about this one.
Rob :fs2:
:rotf:
and I would guess mine is a "heavily modified" truck...it's only 6"...it barely fits 33"s
article was written in 86?
so we need to look for a 87 model...probably date tagged 10/86 - 09/87 ish...
ah feb of 86... so it would be an 86 spring production
Don't be around me when April 1st is here:
During this past week we have had a basketball camp going on. I had to talk to one of my bosses to get the CC so I could get some stuff at the store. I told my boss that one of the kids in the camp had just broken their leg...man you should have seen the look on his face, eyes wide open, jaw dropped... I let it soak in for a couple of seconds then spouted out "april fools!"
My boss of all my bosses accidentally left his keys in the main bathroom, I moved his car 7 spaces further away from the doors and put the keys back where I found them... I didn't get to see his reaction when he got back out to his car... :rotf:
Hey all I need a little help identifying if these leaf springs that are on my comanche are stock ones or aftermarket. If they are aftermarket, I would be very lucky if you know who makes em.
AND THE CARNAGE SHOT OF WHY I'M NOW SEARCHING FOR SPRINGS
i can't believe I drove a mile with the axle only connected to three points... :fool:
all these statements are moot to me...mine has been called a hummer truck during the st. patricks day parade a few years back...let's just say I set them straight.
ok let's throw a blanket statement out...
not considering drivetrain, all parts interior and exterior from the rear of the door jam back including the bumper...except for the rear fender flairs, they also came on the 2 door XJ's....or do you have different information than me :???:
Option 5! :shake: I'd keep it the way it is, just repair the clutch slave, You'd get the best mpg out of the setup you have already, 2wd and the 2.5l...less drive train % loss to the tires. and during winter conditions, get the xj out driving.
your lucky, I just did this for mine.
about half way down the page: Metric tyre to Imperial Chart
and a calc for the sizes not on the chart: Metric Tire Conversion Calculator
if you've done the research to know exact date and exact time it came off the line...
BTW, where did you find that information about your XJ, and could it also find MJ information? :D
Looks great, I would put the offset within the table for each wheel like this site: Table of Wheel Weights. Some offsets are different between stock wheels. I thought the Silverstar's were called Ultra Stars, I heard the ultra star name from a guy that I know he knows his stuff about his 98 zj 5.9L and the backspacing is 4.75" on that wheel. You've been working on this for some time huh, thanks for getting all this info in one place
