I love the driving on my comanche (ax5)
Compared to my 99 gmc Sonoma 5speed
Let's just say that the gmc was tough but I got used to it and the comanche it's like butter...
People hated driving the gmc because the clutch was like pushing a spring that didn't want to go down....
I didn't even have a rug in mine at the time...
But it makes a huge difference and it gets used and abused....mud, water, parts, and etc.
no rips or tears yet...
This is true....
Although my truck is white...you barely see any imperfections until you really look at it at an angle....
I have a lot of little small holes and mini dents because of the trees in the trails
So far looking into the truck found the dizzy cap and rotor in bad shape....
Cap had some goo in it...idk how but I clean it and it made my idle get rough so I'm going to replace that and see what goes on after that....
Seems like your timing is off...(because of white smoke)
Do you hear any popping sounds while trying to crank the truck?
Double check your plugs to see if they are in the right place on the dist. Cap
Well just been enjoying the xj...
Pops took it offroad and devoured the interior in mud...
Was doing a oil change on my girls car and I noticed some noises in my truck then realized my pup is in the cherokee just guarding the cherokee from any intruders....
Yes...
Could also be the ground wires that they have crimped together that could not be tight enough....
You can also do the c101 delete which helped me with my comanche....

Look into this write up mid way shows how the clips looks like...I've seen 2...one shown in the pics and the other that if you squeeze the edge around the tip enough to pull back and unplug the speedo cable
