Sbc 350 In A Comanche
ftpiercecracker1 replied to huck731's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I know there is a lot of good info in this jumble somewhere, but i just can't decipher it. :hmm: Could you start a build thread and maybe add some pictures? -
I would vote, but there is no option for "Have MJ, will travel" :( I will PM the boys in my area, don't know if they have or havent commented on this yet.

I can't even fathom something that custom. Literally, every single component has to re-engineered. That TB is cute, they might as well stick a five gallon bucket on it and use the lid as the butterfly.

^^ you got a build thread? How would you say it compares to a 4.0? If that was my truck i would probably go through a set of tires every other week. Most importantly would you do it again/was it worth it.

What did you do for a cable? Mod the MJ one? Do you think it would be possible to mount the apparatus in such a way that you would not need to cut a hole in the tunnel?

As always, if you got the doe-ray-me the skies the limit as to what you can do. V8 MJs are always a crowd pleaser, but can get costly quickly. FWIW, I would kill to see somebody put a 454 or a 383 into an MJ. No matter what you do, unless its something that the truck came with from the factory (2.5 or 2.8) its gonna cost several thousand. Just make sure to take lots of pictures.

I want to throw my hat in the ring and say i am willing to go any where within reason (mileage). I don't care where it is or if we off road or not. I will do my best to attend, as i consider any formal CC member meet mandatory  .

I feel your pain, but there is hope. I found this place in Mt Juliet, its called Express Pull and Save. I can't comprehend how any other JY stays in business with them around, it blows my mind. Here is their price list. http://www.expresspullnsave.com/pricelist.aspx I am just gonna stop now before i start ranting about how awesome this place, cause i really REALLY like going there.

How do i add my location(s)? -
How did the BBs work out for ya? I bought some just tonight to try on mine. I have read mixed reviews on their legitimacy. 2000 per tire is a helluva lot of BBs  My tires are not that big (31s), but no matter what i have done it has never ridden 'smooth'. There has always been some kind of subtle vibration or shimmy. I think it has to do with cheap tires, old probably bent rims, and tired u-joints.

Wow, truly astonishing/mind blowing. How are such feats in a vehicle even possible? Any idea what it costs to outfit a truck like that? Would it even be possible to do on an MJ, maybe something similar? I admit no matter what you did it would probably still pale in comparison to what was just watched.
