$157 isn't outrageous IMO. They look to be in pretty good condition.

Did you install the converter in the trans and install, or bolt it to the flexplate first then install trans?
-
which vehicle are you refering to? What controller are you running? Typically the heater runs off 12 V. That 5v you see may be a diagnostic voltage if you are looking at a non renix controller (not sure what renix does for that), but it should be off when the key is off, unless your controller isn't shutting down?

But the 3.73 was fairly common in ZJ's with the factory tow package.

sorry to burst your bubble. No 4.0 Libertys (KK or KJ). The 4.0 (based on the 3.5L) is only available in the Nitro (KA).

Could be the wrong PCV. Pull it and plug the opening with your finger to see if the idle goes back down.

:agree: Might have sucked up some crap when you ran out. AND, where did you get the gas from when you ran out? Gas can, or fresh out of a pump?

Well, I see some good stuff there. Tilt, front skid, black interior trim. three spoke black wheel, hockey stick arm rests, etc, etc. Not a bad freebie at all.

We leased a 04 WJ 4.0 242 for my wife in 04. 36,000 miles and no problems other than rear axle seal leaks. Looked and looked for a replacement. Wanted a 4.7 but "settled" for a one owner 2001 4.0 Laredo with 48,000 miles on it. Adult owned and driven. To me that is the key. One owner, adult owned. Don't know if the rear seat was ever sat in. Non smoker and no damn dog hair. That will ruin a vehicles faster than anything. To me the 01/02 4.0 engines seemed to have more pep than the 03/04 versions. Her 04 was a slug compared to this one, and this one gets a couple more miles per gallon consistantly over the 04. :dunno: (both RE trannys, 242 and 3.55 gears.)

could be a TPS or TPS connector problem -
:agree: . I feel that this was a way for our President to be recognized by non Americans for the direction he is attemting to lead our country. Whether folks like it or not, the international policies of the last 8 years have NOT been a popular one in the rest of the world. I certainly do not like all or his ideas or agendas, I personally feel his direction to be more positive than what we have seen in the recent past. You will be hard pressed to find someone who is more pro-American than me. I am a hand gun owner, death penalty advocate, conservative in my ideas of education and social mores and belive that private monies have corrupted our government, possibly beyond repair. Whether you respect the President or despise him, respect the office. It is, as Cheyenne said, the toughest job in the world.

Fixed timing! It starts and drives! Still leaks oil.

If it's unfixable and you have to pull one out of a junkyard, you might think about an oil pan from a 4.2 engine. They are a little deeper because of the 4.2's longer oil pump and hold an extra quart of oil. And they are bolt-on. If I ever have to pull my pan that's what I'm going to put on. Around these parts the 4.2 pans tend to be rotted messes because of the design with the added plate on the bottom. Of course y'all don't put much salt on the roads down there! Glad to hear you're up and runnin' again! -
High pinion Dana 44 front axle
aemsee replied to earl*t's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Yeah but they have some known issues already in regards to the housings bending. My buddy's Rubi is in the shop getting BOTH of the housing swapped out right now ;) They are also the newer 5 x 5 bolt pattern. I just saw in the mopar performance book that they are selling a JK front 44 modified to fit a TJ , with a 5 on 4.5.... -
I figure out the update number for verizon ( *22899 send ,if anyone is interested). Didn't seem to help. So I reactivated my old phone with an external antenna, and I have two bars most areas in the building now. Hopefully that will do it!

Which might also happen if the cyl walls are extremely gas washed. Put some oil in the cyls and try again, see if the numbers go up.
