  1. Not mine, no association... just know somebody should appreciate this truck: http://denver.craigslist.org/cto/1718590757.html For Sale 1974 Jeep J-20 Pickup odo reads 26k, i assume it has rolled over 360 V8, Automatic. Dana 60 Rear, Dana 44 Front Power Windows/Door Locks that actually work! Seat Ripped, and dash is cracked, but other than that interior is in pretty good condition...heat, radio etc still works. Brand new spark plugs and Battery Its probably more of a 'project' than a 'driver' but it does runs well. Has some rust on the body, floorboards, pass side rear fenderwell etc Asking $1,200 obo. Cash only, No Trades
  2. Although I can't understand what would be better on gas mileage and "AWD" then a 2.5L MJ, this guy really wants to trade... and it won't come up in any searches because he doesn't know what this "1986 Jeep 4x4 truck" is called... :huh???: http://denver.craigslist.org/bar/1526827382.html

    Where to buy a WJ?

Cool. Colorado is kind of crappy for CL- everybody thinks their junk is gold. Not just Craigslist, here is a not atypical ad from Autotrader, private seller that's pretty close to me: http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?c ... =241681781 $25000 for a stock charcoal V8 with 70K on the ticker. Oh, wait there are new brake pads... I'm suprised he's not asking more. OK, well that's pretty high but never-the-less, shopping around here is tough. There is a pretty big jump in price from 100K miles. There are a number of 125K for around $9,000 but typically something as low as 70K will be listed for $16,000. 100K comes in right around $12,500... stuff I can't get Edmunds to match up to. This is not new: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=9502 They say people are hurting but we just had to offer $5000 over and still barely beat another couple out on buying a house... this is after 1.5 years of looking and getting beat on 5 different offers. After about the fourth one sold out from under us I started believing my realtor when he said "there is another offer". Frankly, I miss the midwest where people understand the value of a buyer when times are tough. People don't want to deal around here so I'm probably going to go out of state and eat the vehicle shipping. I know, I know, it sounds like a whine but it's more: :wall: and :headpop:

    Where to buy a WJ?

Been there done that- endured a new '01 White XJ for five years as some kind of sick punishment for missing a 96 Upcountry package because we didn't have cash in hand on a Sunday... Not only does she not want the same thing, but the Jeep engineers managed to make the cabin space really small in 97, the back doors (like all 4 door XJs) were horrible. I wouldn't take a free XJ from after 1996 if I had to drive a Honda fit instead... Anyway, it's a WJ or an FJ Cruiser. I just thought there would be a nice comancheclub-esque forum somewhere so I could avoid cesspools like JeepForum.
  5. Well, my wife isn't going in for an auto MJ so I need to buy her another Jeep. She really likes the Grand Cherokee WJ, which I think ran from 1999 to 2005. The question is, where is a good place to find one? Any issues I should be concerned about, apart from it not coming with a pickup option?
  6. If that's a 2.8 (the V6) nothing fits... I loved my 86 XJ but all the aftermarket fits 88 and up. That motor is a boat anchor too. I put a 3.4 in which was a good engine, but skid plates, lifts, etc were always a problem fitting with the cross member and stuff.

    LOL craigslist!

The way I read it she'll send a pic of her for a pic of a nice vehicle. Nothing the PD should get upset about, people trade pics on CL all the time.
  8. Sorry, forgot I had gallery registration turned on. Should be fixed.
  9. "That Cherokee looks strang.... Oh My Frigging GodthatsacomancheIhavetoposthisoncomancheclubASAP" Iceland MJ
  10. Got sucked in by the J-Truck...
  11. That is very nice looking. I like the reverse angle and it looks stable side to side as it goes out to the wheel humps. Now you need to get a canoe that ain't ugly as sin!
  12. Are you adding some kind of roof rack to support the middle of the canoe? If so I think you can lose the D-ring to vertical support brackets. The front can only be to support the weight of the canoe front, and not the twist.
  13. The truck is long gone and the lift is for sale in Indiana. What pictures are you looking for?

No not JY wars, although that was awesome despite "seeding" the JY. My favorite was when the team tore down their quad runner to figure out the wiring on a honda engine they pulled from the JY... no it was some celebrity host, and the challenges were multiple, the teams built the rigs before showing up with a capped budget- the one I remember best was this sweet chassis buggy with dana 60s that belonged to a team of police...
