  1. Thank you. You just confirmed everything that has been discussed here regarding full-paint.
  2. Can you tell us how much you paid for the paint job? Also, did you have a hard time finding a shop willing to do a full paint? Thanks
  3. I ran it for over a year and a half before I took my truck apart for a rebuild. 2 parts conventional to 1 part Lucas. I'd not change it unless I had to.
  4. Welcome to the club. I have engine oil in my differentials too.........just to piss everybody off.
  5. Here, add a lot of flavor and color to your life-
  6. I'll save you my opinions.
  7. 90%.......well.........maybe 99.99999% of all MJs have wiring issues. Be prepared no matter what you buy.
  8. I don't' agree with this crap but this is what people claim to do. You get the pinion angle right an the caster will follow. And the only way to do that is with adjustable uppers and lowers......you can also push your axle out where is belongs too. Oh......and..........none of the drop bracket crap for me either.
  9. For the $20 you think you saved you bought yourself an aggravation. Replace the whole thing.
  10. Yes, it's that straight forward.
  11. Yours is mounted correctly just as you described as for the breaker part number I will post it when I get home if somebody doesn't do it before
  12. Be more diligent- This one is gone now, straight, clean, left-coast legal. Was a hell of a deal for someone.
  13. Where did this take you? what did you do with it?
  14. Your grille is upside down, that'll maker her buck every time. Those wheels could be original. As to your problem..........wild hair guess.............O2 sensor?
  15. Looking for or at USA made tools..........you might find this interesting- Tax alone on that would be $2,300.00 here in TN. https://www.grainger.com/product/42W717?gclid=CjwKCAjwpuXpBRAAEiwAyRRPgfhZZLPO54iFjc_LR8n__ZlvDuE9VezVnyOpCr9rtODe3DsVYS9N2BoCJh0QAvD_BwE&cm_mmc=PPC:+Google+PLA&ef_id=CjwKCAjwpuXpBRAAEiwAyRRPgfhZZLPO54iFjc_LR8n__ZlvDuE9VezVnyOpCr9rtODe3DsVYS9N2BoCJh0QAvD_BwE:G:s&s_kwcid=AL!2966!3!50916773277!!!g!71848863439! 850pc.-Mechanic, SAE, Metric, Tool Storage Included : No Item # 42W717 Mfr. 16. 84-96 should all be the same.
  17. Going from 4.10 to 4.56...............just guessing...........you'd be at something like 3400rpm. Just go up a size in tire size.
  18. I explained why I bought those, or at least I tried to explain. Most of what I own are USA Craftsman which you'd have seen in my short and humble tool box tour. I've spend hours of recent scouring ebay for NOS and good used Craftsman tools, I got one good deal but otherwise rather fruitless. Even 20% of Snap-on tools are made in China now. See at 8:20
  19. I'm not an LS guy but this should get the point across. All you'll do is waste your time, otherwise.

    Tool Talk

I don't expect you to sit through a 20 minutes of me running my mouth but you can if you want. I just wanted to introduce some new tools I bought. And I'm curious was to what others are using and what you've collected over the years.
  21. Several years ago I lost a Ujoint cap on the passenger side, I was in the middle of BFE. Shaft ends were damaged. Fortunately someone let me use their shop and tools to remove the damaged shaft. I went to the PnP and got a pair of CV shafts....this is when I made the change..... I was able to slide the new shaft in and be back on the road in a few hours. Had I had the CAD..........I'd be SOL. That aside, CAD is a POS, I don't like anything that is a POS, I will avoid PsOS at all costs. I like all things that are straight forward, I like all things to be straight forward. I don't have one, I'll not have one.
  22. The '86 trans will be a AX5. The '86 does have an external slave but is unique to the '86, passenger side slave. Yes, the truck will have 4.10s but the front axle will be CAD, I would not have one but...........if you get it cheap it will get you to 4X and you can swap later. Ideally you'd want to find a 94 XJ for the swap, better bell, no CAD. Drive shafts? Just have new ones made. Your existing Xmember will work. And of course the TC. Your existing bell will attach to the 4X AX5 if you want to maintain your existing internal slave.
