  5. WJ would not work and likely would not work for you for two reasons- One, long bed shocks are mounted in front of the axle.......yours are in the rear. Secondly, you are already lowered, you'll likely have frame to spring to SB mount/link interference. On one hand you say you cannot find one for a Blazer and on the other hand you say you want to buy new...........buy new for a Blazer. Addco, I have no idea why it is that Jeep people think that Addco is the go to people for bars.......every time this subject comes up.........Addco. Look to Hellwig. There are others too, Belltech and Ridetech and a couple more. Explore all their offerings, measure. Tubular or solid........find out, mine is solid, it's a truck. Also, WJ is 9/16 and a waste of your effort. 7/8 at a min and I'd look to 1" if I ever replace.
  6. Yep, saw that too.
  7. Rare? no. Valuable? depends on the car/truck. Meaningful? again, depends on car. Interesting? eh..... Unless you have a one-off, rare, the only Comanche of it's kind- all the documentation won't add one penny of value. A $4500 Comanche is still a $4500 Comanche. Skip to 7:00
  8. I have idea who these folks are but if not them then someone else. But if it's impossible to find..........this might be a solution. Definitely a classy XJ you have.
  9. I completely forgot about Mustang 8.8 and the drifter guys with dual caliper. For you it's a bolt-on proposition............doesn't get easier or cheaper than that. https://driftamerican.com/dual-caliper-brackets-79-04-mustang-with-cobra-brakes/
  10. FWIW, these are the Cub Cadet brakes-
  11. If you are willing to have your own mounting brackets made.......the world is your onion-
  12. In the interim this is where I have gone. One question I had for the Wilwood rep was regarding the parking brake, Wilwood assured me that the brake will hold the truck in a static position as long as the brake is applied. I've yet to mount, we'll see.
  13. It's not my job to convince anyone of anything. You'll have to do your own homework to determine what is obvious and true. Even if you bought some 'kit'..... You'll have to devise your own handbrake and cable system as it is mechanical. Secondly, you'll either need to use a CV driveshaft as shown with 4 bolt flange similar to your front DS or you will need a flange adapter, either way you'll need a new drive shaft. Thirdly, as shown that POS has to be a rattle trap.........has to be. Rattles on a garden tractor it will surely rattle on your TC. Any way you look at it that 'kit' will cost you more than $1000 There are electric actuated parking brakes...............want to spend some money, look there. I'm not familiar with 8.8 brakes.......don't care to be familiar, don't want an 8.8 of any kind for any reason......that said- Look to 9" Ford brake brackets, see below, this is the direction I want to go- I want hydraulic, locking hand brake, also an active hand brake- What I'm doing is well beyond the scope of your question and I don't always feel like explaining myself.
  14. You are stuck in a box, a California box, it clouds your thinking. I'm not stuck in a box, refuse to be stuck in a box. For those who want more, stock system has nothing to offer, nothing, no controllability, no tuning. And no, I don't want to climb into the LS box with everyone else.
  15. Just posting as an example. https://www.ebay.com/p/66-70-Fairlane-Power-Window-Crank-Switch-Kit-2-Doors-AutoLoc-Aut9d6afc-Truck/27021701759?iid=253772095592&chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&itemid=253772095592&targetid=475515274701&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9013407&poi=&campaignid=1669934843&mkgroupid=65058350579&rlsatarget=pla-475515274701&abcId=1139296&merchantid=131376560&gclid=CjwKCAjw44jrBRAHEiwAZ9igKBb-naz-ndSFOpx2m7U1HsWmDmN91fe8kyCljd48COx28E49vvn99BoCay4QAvD_BwE
  16. There are ways to fix that..........crank becomes the switch.
  17. Stock MPI/ECU is trash...........pure trash. Engine still has its limitations...........however...........still has me thinking or reconsidering SBC, I've got time to think.
  18. I'll have both.........on manual doors.
  19. You are trapped in a box, climb out.

  21. Couple of things here- One, actually, no I didn't know I'd have to pay to walk the vendors, outdoor event. Wife afterwords looked it up on FB and others were complaining they could not find the cost of entry posted. Secondly, I am one who will look you in the face and ask you why I should buy your product over someone else's? When I spoke on the phone to the rep for VisionX I flatly asked him, "Will I be disappointed buying your lights?" If you cannot look me in the eye......why should I buy your S---? Are you going to make me pay to look you in the eye? If a vendor cannot afford to show up at an event..........stay home. Savings? now that's funny. Here in TN we have a 10% sales tax, any saving will be eaten in tax. When I buy my lights, no tax will be paid. Over commercialized- This 'event' is clearly different than other events here. Wrangler people spend their money unlike any other............99% of the Jeeps here were/are Wranglers. Don't know what more to say........I can't stand their Wranglers, can't stand their attitude, can't stand the people. Couple of years ago there was a thread over at NAXJA about some XJ guys getting thrown out of the parking lot.....they were not allowed to park with the Wrangler people. These jackasses pull up in front of a restaurant here and park up on a curb or half in the grass or up on a rock...........just a bunch of jackasses. Just irritated in general, wasted my time. No, it wasn't about the $36.
