  1. It is a good idea to have your ground about 12 inches away from your relay. I almost burned my truck to the ground when I first installed my fan.
  2. I would be very appreciative. No rush at all. I can do without the extra 30HP that they will give me when attached to my truck for now. :D
  3. Pike is right about the high concentration of anti freeze. Water is a better carrier of heat than coolant. But the reason I chimed in is I recently removed the heater control valve from the hoses leading to the heater core and noticed and big difference in the temp gauge. I looked into the control valve after I removed it and it is a huge restriction in the coolant flow. And yes I did make sure the valve was open when I looked through it.
  4. Anybody want to grab the fender "COMANCHE" badges off that truck for me?
  5. Here is a couple.

    The LHC.

So what do you guys think. Is the new particle accelerator gonna cause a black hole and swallow up the Earth? Experiments are cool but if you have the possibility of destroying human existance maybe you shouldn't go through with it. But whoever spent 8 billion dollars building it probably won't be the one to red light it until we are all being swallowed into the black hole. I kinda like this stuff that causes people to act stupid. Like Y2K, what are you gonna do about it if it does happen? Not a damn thing but die like the rest.

    OUCH!!!!!

If that is the same one I am thinking of they came out later and had to apologize because they staged the whole thing just to get their fifteen minuets of fame.
  8. American Racing also makes a good set with locks for around $22. They are what have been on my truck for 2 years now with no corrosion.

    Monster XJ

I have posted this before but I like it.
  10. I would love one but I am poor. And I just bought a house.
  11. Drip pans are not an option since I have almost zero clearance between the hood and air cleaner. I guess my original idea of fashining some sheet metal covers is the best option for me. I am not worried about it when I am out on the trail but when it is parked is my concern. But wait the new house has a garage so I guess I answered my own question. :thwak:
  12. I know it really isn't an issue for the guys with a 4.0. I would have a bit of an issue cause I got a V8 shoehorned in there. I guess I am just picky and don't like the idea of water all over my air cleaner or valve covers.
  13. Okay Okay anyone can chime in.... if you have info.
  14. Tell me how you keep the rain out of your engine bay and off the engine. I was thinking of making covers that could be removed easy. Just wanted to see if anybody else had any better ideas.
  15. I know ther is a certain year of the stock Dakota lines that are longer. And if I am not mistaken are a direct bolt on replacement. This would be a good time for Pete or Eagle to chime in.
  16. I like the side markers that the XJs and MJs seem to have in the front fenders. I am gonna have to try and find a set. It would probably be exspensive to ship a pair overseas, wouldn't it? :hmm:
  17. yup I like the random picture idea.
  18. Thats why I'm considering getting a perm and a sport coat to wear when i am cruising/wheeling in my comanche. Not me I gotta get a mullet and a carefully ripped sleeveless sweater with some acid washed jeans and big white high tops.
  19. I was looking at where the tracbar mounts actually. I like the looks of that bracket. Let me know when and if you sell that steering. I wouldn't mind buying that from you.
  20. What kind of steering setup are you running on your wife's rig? I like the way it looks - very sturdy.
  21. I don't even have a sway bar what so ever. But then again I don't drive the MJ more than a couple miles from my house to the wheelin spot. And I don't ever go over 45mph. My gearing just doesn't like it.
  22. Yup I have been wheeling a 2wd for about 3 years now and I surprise people a lot of the time. And having an open diff then going to a spool, the difference was night and day.
  23. If you don't drive on the street much look into a mini spool or a full spool. No spider gears to break. I run a mini spool in my rig and it does just fine. I have a chrysler 8 3/4 under my rig and I think the mini spool was $80 or $90 from Auburn gear.
  24. Thanks Guys. :chillin:
