You say you just pay the bill. But do you have insurance? And have you ever had like a $10,000 dollar hospital bill to pay? I don't know about you but I can't afford the health insurance through my job and I pray I don't have to go to the hospital for anything. It has kinda made me a bit of a home surgeon though. I think I would take socialized health care. Anyone from Canada have any imput?

This might be kinda dumb but have you been driving it in deep snow? I had a S-10 blazer and when I would go and have some fun in the snow the snow would get packed up in the backside of my wheels. Then on the expressway to work the next morning about 45-50mph it would shake. Clean the snow out and no shake. Just throwing that out there.

Any questions you have I will try to answer. And yes I am running a 3 speed TH350 longtail.

Watch out where the huskies go. :chillin:

It runs around 195-210 but I have got it up to 230 when I was stuck before. The fan is a Spal fan. It sucks a few amps but it moves some big air. This is the best shot of the driver's side I have right now.

When you replace your bumper I might want to take it off your hands. I am looking for just such a bumper.
-
I know I am kinda far away but I will keep an eye peeled.

I run a 350 chevy and did not have to brace the engine gradle. And I run solid motor mounts too. Haven't seen any body / frame fatigue yet. It ain't pretty but it works-

:D That is funny. Any one know where I can get a rear tube bumper. Or maybe someone with welding skills might be able to make me one for some cash? 8) -

I got the same tube bumper on my truck and personally I think it looks good. But I am a child of the 80's so that might have something to do with it. Anyway I have been kinda looking for a tube bumper for the rear. I was gonna buy one when I bought the front one but Smittybuilt did not list one on there site. Any idea what the part number may be? -
All I have to say about recycling is - Go to your video store and rent the episode of Penn and Teller's show called "BS". They will show you how recycling is just a bunch of BS. Like plastics for instance. Plastic food containers usually end up in a landfill even if they are put in a recycling bin. They are sorted out and THROWN AWAY at the recycling plant. Why? Because 1. It is cheaper to make a new plastic container instead of recycling them. And 2. Plastic melts at such a low temperature it is not sanitary enough to use as food containers. Or google "Oaisis of plastic in the ocean" Or "Oaisis of garbage in the ocean". There is a article about this field of trash the size of Texas that has been gathering in a still spot in the ocean for years. Oh yeah and most of our paper comes from trees grown on farms for paper production. If you tree huggers want more trees use more paper. But really check out the Penn and Teller "BS" DVD. It is really informative. :chillin:

That is exactly the one I saw. Too bad I am poor. I wants it.

Driving to the video store yesterday I saw a very well built comanche for sale. Olive drab paint, Sweet roll cage, 35's. The works. I will try to find time to get pics of it. Bad A$$ is all I can.

My first ride was a 1968 4 door Dodge Camper Special. $250 drove her everyday for a year.

My old boss had a 2006 GT. He had the Ford racing exhaust. And a underdrive pulley on the supercharger. Let me tell you from personal experience. 190mph on the expressway+crazy man at the wheel=cleaning your undies out when you get back to the shop. :chillin:

You seem to know your stuff. Just be careful when you turn on dry pavement with that spool or you may spit out an axle. I run a Chrysler 8.75 in the rear and it is mini spooled. I like it much more than a locker. Nice lookin' truck by the way. -
Make that four of us :chillin:
-
Yup I sourced mine from an 84' chebby van.
-
Mine is proof positive on the 5-4.5 bolt pattern. I ordered all of my wheels for a 86 jeep comanche and they all fit. :chillin:
-
1966 Dodge D100 pickup. The vans around that year also have them.
-
Bad timing also could cause pre-ignition which would lead to that cylinder overheating. :dunno:
-
Old Chrysler 8.75- Correct width, correct bolt pattern, and can carry up to a 502 gear ratio. I like mine. Oh yeah a drop out third member also.
