Skyjacker makes a complete 3" lift for the Comanche. I have that kit on my truck currently and I am happy with it, that is untill I can fork out 2k for the Rubicon 6".

A small oil leak will just keep your engine bay and undercarriage rust free. :jump: :teehee:

And the list grows. Maybe we could form this into some kind of meet or something? Anyway we would be the only MJs out there. I have been going for awhile now and have only seen one other MJ out there. -
I would like some of the camo ones and a couple more magnets when you get a chance. :chillin:

Let me know when you can make it and we can make a day of it. P.S. I don't even have 4WD and I ain't scared. -
Would anybody want to meet up at The Mounds ORV park in Genessee county for some wheelin' sometime? It costs $7.00 for residents of the county $10.00 for non residents and $25.00 for a season pass. Sunday is when I and a bunch of the GOT MUD? guys wheel out there. They aren't to strict with rules and such. There are a bunch of trails some hill climbing and alot of mud. There is also some sand scramble areas and such. It's not the best but it is good to take a few beers in the cooler, have some fun and see what kind of a situation you end up in out there.

Can I use 31's without lift kit?
possum replied to Comanche Joe's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Offset shouldn't be a problem. I ran a set of Primax aluminum wheels that I got off'n a 94 YJ -

I might be able to make Paragon. I just gotta dig up a trailer and a tow rig. Luckily I work at a place that has said items. So it is a big maybe. -
If you want a "GOT MUD" decal you can: A- Come to the Mounds and get one if you are in the area B- Go to: www.wegotmud.com and grab one there. (there are a butt-load of pictures on the site that are freakin' cool also) or C- I can get you one and you can pay me for it and I can send it to you. small are $5 and the big one like I got is $10. let me know

These pictures were taken at The Mounds ORV park in Genessee, or just in Flint if you aren't from Flint. The Geo started as an S-10 frame. But he has a full cage fabbed in that thing and you should see it go, it just walks through everything!
-
Or you could locate an old scrambler. The bed isn't as big but I think they are pretty cool.

It is hard to get my girlfriend out of the truck to take pictures because she loves to wheel also. But we got a few good shots. Check out the Geo that thing is sick.

This is what a 350 looks like in a comanche.
possum replied to possum's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
whats wrong with the 350 that you're plannin on it not lasting? isnt that alot of work to throw away? badarse jeep btw  Nothing is wrong with the ole' 350 she runs beautifully. I just have the 4.3 handy, you never can start too soon on planning the next big hole in the bottom of your wallet. And I really wouldn't have to change much to swap between the two. -
If you want to go with power steering you can use the PS unit from a 1985 chevy G20 sportvan. The unit itself will fit with about 1/4" of space between the pulley and the steering box. But here is the cool part, the reservoir is a remote type and there is a place on the rad support that it will bolt right on with existing bolts. As far as fabbing all you have to do is cut a slit in the bracket on the reservoir about a half inch deep and I welded a tab on the rad support for side to side stability for the reservoir. P.S. I am not sure if it makes any difference but mine is an early 86' that came with the GM V6 so that might be why all the PS lines matched up with the gear box.

I passed one of those on the highway a few days ago. It just looks wrong to me. All I could think is WTF is Chrysler doing.

The price was right for the chevy because you just can't say no to a good motor and trans for free. That is good info to have on the buick motor though. My next plan is to build, bore, and stroke a Z code 4.3 H.O. and stick that in there. Only after the 350 dies of course. -

That has got to be a street truck. It looks great. Mine is functional not pretty and it was the first motor I have ever put in anything. -

I looked at your pics and my advice would be to remove the clutch fan from the motor, and unless you are planning on a cowl hood or some kind of scoop that intake is gonna be too tall. Mine barely fits and it is a stock piece. I also had to find a low profile stock air cleaner from a mid 70's corvette.
