  1. :yeah that: I think this would be the only type of topper I would want. I havent been a fan of them in the past because i would loose the toolbox but, i think this would be worth the loss lol
  2. I used the redline tuning kit, I have a few picks of it installed on my build thread
  3. referring to the cheap gauge: As you are filling the ac (pressing the trigger) the gauge will drop to zero, when you let off it will (or should) show the estimated pressure.. There should be an a/c clutch relay. do you know if your MJ was non a/c converted to have a/c? also click on the link in my signature and poke around my manuals you might find something helpful. Edit: Give this a shot https://onedrive.live.com/view.aspx?cid=DB29AEECD6176EB4&resid=DB29AEECD6176EB4%217615&app=WordPdf&authkey=%21AOnZxW_3TJTtnPY
  4. odds are if you haven't replaced the rear springs they are worn out and sagging. you can buy rear shocks with "helper" springs to help stabilize a load. I have seen a few threads on here with part numbers. the heaviest load i moved with my MJ at once was 30 pavers (1,080 lbs) in the bed and 40 pavers (1,440 lbs) on a trailer. My newish Metric Ton springs looked sagged (but not bad) with the just the bed load, adding the trailer it only sagged more slightly. The springs on dad's MJ are shot, 500-700 lbs will reach the bump stops
  5. usually it will be off by a fixed percentage, the tires on my charger for example where i think where 6% shorter than stock meaning my speedo was reading faster than i was going (this will be more noticeable at higher speeds) and falsely telling me i was getting better MPG as well because the reported higher where also increasing the reportage mileage. I did some math and figured out what percentage i needed to subtract from my reported mileage to get closer to actual mileage, until i was able to purchase a tuner and correct my speedo.
  6. I have 9 "parking spots" (not including the front or back yard or in the middle of the pull through drive way) at my house, my Charger uses one and the MJ uses the other. But I tend to park my parts Jeeps (while i had them) at my parents house. old family picture not including my CJ5 i Had at the time
  7. I use fulley.com to track my MPG. my average is in my signiature
  8. Yeah. That was good. But I'm kinda partial to December 2013.............. I think April's of this year was a pretty nice looking rig too. :dunno: All very nice MJs but I will stick with April 2013 as my favorite followed up by September 2012 neohic's "Comansion" camp trailer.
  9. My Girlfriend has a 1994 Suzuki Sidekick 4 door 4x4, and I drove it for the first time yesterday. The car drives great and everything works well enough for a 20 year old car, but the brakes are very, very soft. They will stop the car but only start working at about 85% petal. I think flushing and bleeding the brakes would be a good start. According to several other forums the rear is bled at the rear left tire and the Load Sensing Proportion Valve (LSPV). Then the front brakes are done as normal. Any other thoughts or tips? Thanks,
  10. why didn't i think of that.... another project to add to my list
  11. We are currently looking into converting our two 24 hour gyms (Anytime Fitness) to 4' LED Tubes. It is going to be pricey and with their standard 60 payment plan we would save $120 ish during the lease to buy plan. After that we should save about $320 per location per month. One of our biggest turn off for LED lights is nowhere around here uses them, so I can't walk through and see how i like it. For your light, do you like the color? Do you notice a 60Hz flicker? If you walk by it do you notice a flicker, like cheap led Christmas lights?
  12. Saturday bad things happened... I managed to Kill the winch solenoid and somehow managed to sheer off or cut one of the wires for the E-Locker...
  13. Nope, it died so i got rid of it.
  14. ^^ Agree. Also use a little brake grease on the notches that the pads ride on, the rear face of the pads, and the brake caliper pins on so they can slide w/o binding. Did you use "loaded" calipers with the pads already installed? If not, make sure the inboard and outboard brake bads are installed correctly as they are not interchangeable, and of course the new calipers must be installed with the bleed screw UP. yes bad things happen when a off road shops some how manage to install my brakes improperly. however in my case i had no brakes...
  15. Yesterday I worked on the MJ again. Replaced the idler pulley, and determined the EGR valve was not working. So i removed and capped the vacuum lines till i decide to make it work again. I discovered i have a huge crack in the exhaust manifold, figured i had the crack before but confirmed it. One of my reverse lights where out, I replaced both with some that claim to be 40% brighter, thus far i am not impressed.
  16. I have had several people offer to buy my Blue MJ over the past several years, not going to happen. How about at least a 8,000 lb winch. you want a one with at least 1.5 times the pull rating to your MJ weight. (1.5 x Jeep weight = min winch) sign up for the 4wd.com club program, there are instructions somewhere on the forum, then when you order something from 4wd.com just call give them your member number when you order and you can save up to 10% on some items. I got my 8,000 lb SmittyBilt winch for about 275ish from 4wd.
  17. does your xj have an amp after the headunit? My WK with the Boston premium sound had an amp set up between the head unit and the speakers.
  18. Haha I know there's was like 3-4 jeeps in this scene I don't know what was going on or what! I was referring to his wife's Jeep, it is nice lol
  19. yes the newer style XJ wiper arms are plug and play
  20. i started watching breaking bad a week or two ago, i noticed the MJ as well. But that Grand Wagoneer it so shiny  lol
  21. This makes me want to take a few rolls of electrical tape with me to the JY
  22. I decided to play with the 93 octane CAI tune and bumped the shift firmness up as well. The car feels like a new beast, it is awesome! Yesterday i installed a Dball (or Dball2) remote start kit I purchased from ebay. it works like a charm, just press the lock button on the remote 3 times and the car starts. I still need to hook up the parking lights to the Dball.
  23. Congratulations on your MJ of the Month!
