  1. other than looks is there an advantage to cleaning the engine block?
  2. nothing has been upgraded.. just replaced the front u-joints.. it apparently was broken before i got the jeep from my grandfather.
  3. I have a bad leak on the passenger side of my MJ.. I replaced the Door seal with a new one and that helped some. But I still have a leak.. :huh???: someone said the spot where the antenna wire comes through the firewall.. I also have a sliding rear window and was also told that is another bad spot.. I removed the carpet and had rhino liner sprayed in the cab.. (apparently I had a colony of red ants under the passenger side carpet.... I never knew they where there....) Does anyone know where I can find replacement door window seals? Any thought on where the leak might be would be helpful.
  4. 200 to 600 dollars is what I have set aside for my jeep this month. I just want something that I will be able to drive on the road during the work week without any issues.
  5. Should I go with front or rear first?
  6. I have heard some about lockers... some people say get them, others say don't... :???: I also know that there are different types of lockers.. I go off roading on the weekends and would rather not camp out on a trail or our hunting property. I use my MJ as my Primary driving vehicle during the work week. I was told that Detroit auto-lockers are what I need. Any thoughts?
  7. How are the Ramsey electric winches? And thanks for the Info :wrench:
  8. I would be hooking the hydraulic winch to the motor.. I guess my question really is would the electric winch be fine if it where soaked. I would not want to damage the electrical system in it.. My experience is that water and electric motors never mix well..
  9. I am looking to get a winch for my Comanche but i am at a loss when it comes to picking one out... I go offroading on the weekends most of the time every other... and I have gone through deep water as well, or at least my future winch would be submerged on some parts of the trail... I am not sure what would be more water resistant.. The electric winch i can hook up myself but would need to upgrade the battery and most likely the alternator.. where as the Hydraulic winch i may not be able to hook up myself.. (as i always manage to break something whenever i work under the hood)... What winch type would be more reliable?
  10. Has anyone used this company http://www.jcroffroad.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=MJB for their Winch bumpers? and what would be a good comparison for winch bumpers? Thanks, Jeff
