  1. I replaced the alternator, alt-battery wiring, battery, and pulley belt. And it turns out my dash volt meter does in fact work, and the alt was bad along with the battery. Now nothing dips out while having the turn signals on while running AC, and all the lights! Food for thought, if the alternator is not charging check the wire going from the alt to the power distribution bolt. It uses a fusible wire for circuit protection. Mine tested good. All my battery, grounds and alternator where upgraded to 4 ga wiring. Additional engine compartment grounds where added as per cruiser's tips, dash ground upgrade is next on the list.
  2. I was not able to get it sadly, looks like I'm stuck with my hybrid a while longer lol... :wall:
  3. I'm driving out today to take a look at it after work. I really liked my 05 2wd 4.7L WK, so I'd imagine ill love a 4x4 Diesel WK.
  4. What are your thoughts on the 3.0L turbo Diesel equipped WK Jeeps? I found one at a dealership and i want to trade in my Ford for it. everywhere i have read says they love it and would not give it up. anyone here have and experience with the Jeep Diesels?
  5. Tomorrow morning Katelyn and I will be leaving for Nashville TN tomorrow. I am attending a Anytime Fitness's annual conference. So far the trade show is all i'm interested in at the conference, but we plan to explore around Nashville as soon as I've checked off a couple activates. We haven't made any sight seeing plans yet just a couple ideas. what are a couple good sights, restaurants, or parks in or around Nashville? We be leaving Sunday morning to drive back home. Taking the Hybrid so off road trails are a no go lol.
  6. how did you have it in the vice?
  7. World of tanks is awesome, I started off on the PC but moved over to XBOX. Have you tried World of Warships or World of warplanes? Warships is pretty awesome. its still in open beta. its been a while sense i tried warplanes.... SpinTires is a good offroad game on steam, its got a ton of detail. the oldest PC game i play is StarCraft
  8. and another
  9. I received a reply today about the gutter mount brackets, So that confirms my thoughts about the gutter brackets without the outer trim pice. Looks like I will be getting the a pillar mount in the nearish future.
  10. 88 MJ (My First Jeep, and first Vehicle Owned) 88 MJ Sold 64 CJ-5 Sold 05 WK Sold (First Vehicle I purchased) 89 XJ Sold
  11. I have seen those, but am awaiting a reply to from them to see if it will work without the clip on gutter section. mine are no longer on my MJ. other gutter brackets are: Farmer Johnson Off Road $65 JRC Off Road $99 and there is an A Pillar mount: OMC Off Road $125 $100+ just for brackets seems a bit much for me.... but i guess my options are limited... For a little more i could get the Hooligan 50" light bar and 2 pod light mount for $150
  12. I was given a straight 50" LED Light Bar the other day. How are you mounting these light bars? I have found countless mounting brackets for the curved bars but only very few for the straight ones. I have been pondering getting the Rain gutter mounts but I'm not sure they will work with out the clip on gutter... I have the clip on gutters (several actually) but i can't get the drivers side back on. pictures and or links to what you used would be great! Thanks,
  13. This is for my dads mj, 1989 4.0 auto 2wd. It started acting up the other day, it will start off running fine. I was told it would occasionally die while idling (did not die while I was messing with it). While driving it will start off fine and can get up to speed. and then it seems it won't get the jeep over 20mph regardless of the amount of petal given. It starting working properly before I got home. The engine is not idling rough My current thoughts are Grounds ECU TCU Fuel pump Fuel pressure regulator IAC The injectors where replace sometime last year. I am going to have dad and my brother do cruiser's ground upgrades and refreshing. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
  14. Yes you can reuse your 2wd ax-15 x-member
  15. They did change form internal to external slave around 1994. going from a ba10 to ax-15 will require an input bearing swap for 90+ units It could have had the external swapped in at a later point, but that time frame only had the internal OBD1 started in the 91 models,
  16. 3200 mile round trip is a bit of a drive for me lol
  17. you may need to do some hammering to the trans tunnel to get the TC to fit, but otherwise it will should work. a TC Drop may get around beating the trans tunnel. there are a couple members who used a wrangler trans/TC setup.
  18. From Amazon my bet is one of the last owners had a 2" reciver Winch carrier
  19. Much cheaper than my Novak Cable Shifter.
  20. check my signature for PDF Manuals and Jeep part catalogs
  21. Installed the new switch panel and re arranged the switches. Nice and neat setup Switches are self explanatory E-Fan override Power for: Front Locker Rear Locker (future investment) 12v Accessories (power inverter, air compressor, etc) Left Side Work Light Front Aux / Work Light Right Side Work Light And winch controls Right now nothing but the front locker is hooked up. Need to purchase more female connectors, wire, fuse box, and relays.
  22. my best guess is Manual Transmission Fluid. or My T.A.R.D.I.S. Flooded... The pool in the library might have been a bad idea after all...
  23. Hose Routing:Starting at the thermostat housing > 3/4 hose > 3/4 to 5/8 adapter > 5/8 hose > 5/8 heater core inlet (bottom) > 3/4 heater core outlet (top) > 3/4 hose > 3/4 to 5/8 adapter > 5/8 hose > 5/8 water pump inlet. If you need and extra pictures let me know That is perfect right there. I am going to make that change and add a reservoir bottle. The next question is, an forgive me for this but I have to ask. I still need to turn the engine on and fill the radiator through the radiator. Not fill the overflow reservoir. Correct fill it through the radiator cap, but make sure you also have fluid in the overflow bottle.
  24. the radiator hoses are left alone. Hose Routing: Starting at the thermostat housing > 3/4 hose > 3/4 to 5/8 adapter > 5/8 hose > 5/8 heater core inlet (bottom) > 3/4 heater core outlet (top) > 3/4 hose > 3/4 to 5/8 adapter > 5/8 hose > 5/8 water pump inlet. Overflow: from the filler neck (there should be a little port) > 5/16 hose > Open cooling overflow bottle If you need and extra pictures let me know
