This varies from state to state and company to company. I wrecked an 88 Ranger.. State Farm totalled it out. I bought it back for $300. I kept my original clear title back. In Illinois, over 7 years old and you can get the clean title back. :agree: i should have made my self a bit clear here in virginia we would get a salvage title if it has been considered a loss, as for how long it stays in a salvage status :dunno: once the vehicle gets a "salvage title" it will always have one unfortunantly.

i can tell you that you bought the budget kit for the cherokee. Rustys doesnt make a budget kit w/shackles for the comanche, only the Add a leaf kit. The shackles are useless.....they lower the rear since the cherokee is Spring over axle and the comanche comes spring under axle. Put your stock shackle back in and go get a cheap AAL specifically for the Comanche or by some chevy drop shackles (search google or here for them)

i hate to tell ya but at 18 years old with no credit or real driving history your monthly rate will be about 180-200. My 86 toyota for liability only was 175/month when i was 18 I have never had my insurance company say anything about my car or truck being modified for insurance reasons?

you can't swap the arms....tried to do that route and have it done by a professional. Its not an option. Just swap the whole booster in and modify the arm itself

if you have an open air element then yes its normal...mine has done it for years...its not a big deal really

3" Suspension Lift Kits?
offroader461 replied to kawaboy13's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
when i went 3" this is what i did... 1.bought a 3" kit from JCWhitney for about $120 bucks. It came with springs and a AAL. I ran it that way for 2 years with no sag in the back even working construction with a ton of equipement in the back. My leafs are original and still to this day with the AAL gone and SOA there is no sag. At 3" you really don't need Lower Control arms or a track bar but they would be a good option. Get some spacers or some used 3" springs for the front and call it a day. For the back either do the AAL or shackles....its up to you... here was how my truck looked with the first 3" kit i put on...Ran it this way for about 2 1/2 years Here it is with 31's -

don't use a fram....i had terrible erratic oil pressure and some valve tick upon startup in my 4.0 for many years using a fram (they use a cardboard style filter system inside)...switched over to the Napa gold brand and have a very consistent pressure and no more valve ticking on start up either.

i know that the 4r70w is a great trans...have one behind my 4.6 mustang now. The only thing i can offer is that you may have to swap all the electronics from the truck to make the trans work. try these guys: www.moddedmustangs.com/forums
