  1. 88 MJ with a 4.6 stroker stock 4.0 sensors/wiring. Its been sitting for a while, battery dead. Charged battery, fired up and rough idle til it warmed up, went to shut it off and no stop!!. Pulled key all the way out. Replaced the electric ignition switch and it still won't stop. Thinking its the "power latch relay" or B+ relay. Anything else to check after that relay? other than not stopping, it runs fine ( for an 88 trail truck :D )
  2. I have a stock pair boxed up and ready to go $80 plus shipping.
  3. I have an 88 MJ 5.5' lift, 4.6 stroker, lockers that I have used as my DD for a few years. In nice shape with lots of extras. Look under the for sale ads. I could deliver part way for a price.
  4. I am in the same boat, can't find a place to hold my 35" tire. In the back of some 4wd mag, there was an advertisement for a swing out carrier that looks like it would fit nicely on the back of a MJ but I can't remember the name of the company. You could mount the tire pointing in and keep the tailgate on or reverse it and remove the tailgate, looked pretty cool but was expensive if I remember right.
  5. The NP231 that comes in the Comanche is shifted with a linkage. The only thing vacuum on it a switch(?) that sends a signal to the vacuum disconnect on the front axle and the light on the dash. If you want to you can removed all the vacuum stuff and stuff some washers in the axle and not worry about it. did that make sense?
  6. Speaking of 5 ton wreckers, I found a M246 about 5 miles from my house in some old guys yard. The M246 is a wrecker/tractor truck used in the 50's to recover downed airplanes. Its in rough shape and the old guy doesn't want to come down from $2500 but man oh man what a beast. see pic:
  7. If anyone wants to know about the M35A2 trucks, let me know and I will fill you in about them. They are getting more expensive as DRMO has lost the bid to Govliquidation to auction the military surplus. A lot more exposure and everybody wants one now.
  8. I've got the RE 5.5" kit on mine and with the BFG AT 35's it rubs if I flex it to the limit. I trimed my fenders a little but really want to go with a TnT long arm kit instead of trimming anymore. If you have a Dana 35 in the rear I suggest upgrading to a Dana 44 or something else before you go to 35's.
  9. If anyone is going to Moab, let me know. I am only about 3 hours away and would like to wheel with some fellow MJ owners. Wade
  10. my experience and searching has led me to believe the stock manifolds are prone to ing and rusting away. my borla header is stainless and has a million mile warranty on it so i will never have to buy another one again. not so much performance as longevity. just my .02 cents(not sense LOL) Wade
  11. If your serioius about a front bumper that holds a winch then this is the best one out there- http://www.rigidco.com/FbW.htm I have yet to hear one bad thing about them or the company. It just takes a while to get it as its pretty much a one man operation, but its worth it. I plan on putting one on my MJ this year.
  12. Which ever one ( Banks or Borla i can't remember) comes with the crossover pipe - is the one I put in my truck and it fits fine with my auto, bolted right up Wade
