  1. FYI ZJ's don't come in the upcounty package...only the XJ
  2. Before: After the work: And some poser shots in the garage: And finally with the old front end back one...missing the grill but have one for it:
  3. WOW....glad your ok. Thats the main reason i ditched the stock steering since I'm at 7" of lift as well. Could tell it was maxed out just sitting there....always a thought in my mind
  4. Wow....that thing looks awesome...ZJ dash issomething i didnt expect to see LoL :clapping:
  5. finished up the wiring the other day....ill post some pics up tomorrow but what a huge mess....installed a H.O. fuel harness cover to help the top of the motor clean up and not look so cluttered. Also installed a new I.A.C. and now my idle come back to normal after applying some throttle!
  6. I always liked the shelby dakota's....there is a white one that is all stock that runs around my neighborhood all the time. When the girlfriend gets tired of her 95 dakota....it shall be mine....it will have a 360 v8 w/a automatic (shift kit installed)
  7. i have both....the MORE brace on the inside of the box and my HD bumper has steering box tie ins on the outside...so my frame/steering box is sandwiched from both sides!
  8. 1500 for that...no way....you will still have to modify the spring perches to get it to fit plus you don't even know if its a 27 or 29 spline axle get a used one from a 99-01 (29 spline) from a 4 cylinder (4.10) for around $200-300 or get one that has the wrong gears for cheaper than that and have the whole axle set up for around $600
  9. helped mine out a ton....bigger wheels and a heavy steering kit put a lot of stress on the box/frame....my stiffener helped with all of it
  10. front axle is a ttb d35...junk, rear axle is a 7.5in...junk, t-case isnt worth the time to swap over....your best bet is to part it out and use the money you get to upgrade your jeep then send the rest to the scapper
  11. as said before the factory igintion system is more than adequate for even a stroker. Unless you get a smokin' deal on it..i wouldnt get and MSD....
  12. Nice start but get rid of the crappy control arms and those retarded shock extension wanna bees....but overall looks like a great starter rig
  13. i had one of the MSD boxes on my toyota....got it for free with my race car parts and decided to throw it on. Did absolutley nothing except make it run just slightly smoother at idle....also had it coupled with an MSD offroad blaster coil. Better things to spend your money on if you looking to gain some HP...but if you dead set on it my motto always is..... its your money and your truck....do with it what you want cause in the end only you have to like it!
  14. Wow...what a mess underneath... The 02/CTS/Knock sensor wires were all frayed about 6" up the harness and touching each other...also the "sensing" wire and knock wires that are supposed to be shielded to prevent signal interference were completely exposed so i had to rewrap all those and solder in new wires to all these pigtails. Got the entire harness cleaned up and retapped...Going to install a H.O. fuel rail cover to help clean up the injector harness on top of the manifold Next on the list: -H.O. wire harness cover -Emissions -Rock rails -Install power steering cooler -find my 10 slot grill
  15. UPDATE: -Swapped the original header panel back on -started cleaning up all the wiring and retapping up the harness for a more professional look...found some frayed wires on the o2 sensor/CTS and knock sensor circuts
  16. hey i just got the same thing.....my brother smoked the heads in his 90 ranger 2.9 2wd reg cab long bed...no rust with a perfect body and interior for free!! The 2.9 is a dog and overheating/head cracking up to 1989 is a major problem b/c they didnt put enough casting material on the head....the 90-93 2.9 seem to be a little less prone to cracking heads but still do....I'm swapping a 4.0L engine and trans into mine since its a direct drop in....any question hit me up
  17. Now i know someone on here has built and used the backhalf of a comanche as a trailer. I have searched and searched but cannot find it. I'm getting a 90 MJ pioneer from my buddy that he is swapping all the suspension and motor into his new SWB 92. So i get all the old parts off the 92 and the 90 as a rolling chassis but the 90's front end near the steering box is bent so its getting cut up. Any info and the link to who did it would be appreciated!!!!!
  18. assuming this is the RK set up looking at the tie rod, so question, did it come with the knuckle bracket to allow the drag link to be set up in this design? :hmm: this is the gen 1 kit....the gen 2 kit mounts the drag link under the knuckle with a common bolt to attach the drag link and tie rod and misalignment heim.....i like this set up better....i braced my bracket underneath to prevent cracking
  19. before: after: Overall i did notice a loss of steering from lock to lock but the overall driveability compared to what it was is night and day.
  20. finished the steering upgrade befoire: after: Overall i did notice a loss of steering from lock to lock but the overall driveability compared to what it was is night and day.
  21. i have a flowmaster 40 series and custom tailpipe made up for the MJ for about $160 out the door....sounds awesome...i posted a soundclip somewhere posted
  22. I'm sitting at about 7.5" on 33's and i fit into my garage just fine
  23. -Ranger Roll bar -XJ bucket seats -XJ center console -99 XJ mirrors -Ford superduty steering stabilzer bracket -XJ dual booster -XJ master cylinder -XJ power steering pump -ZJ sway bar
  24. can't....the grill area is wider...nothing interchanges between the two
  25. i love the waggy on my MJ...still have the original if i decide i want to go back... i also blacked mine out...i hated the chrome
