  1. I think up to '96 were the same :hmm: .
  2. Any reason to use Photoshop.
  3. The name's Francis Soyer, but everybody calls me Psycho. Any of you guys call me Francis, and I'll kill you. And it's not like it's the likeness of Mohammad or something sacred like that  :rotf: .
  4. Those are not stock mirrors, there were three basic styles (the upper left one came in three options standard, manual remote and power remote)
  5. Beat you to the fuel sender, but it's ending up in the same place :D . Did you perform all the dismantling  ?
  6. Welcome. Here are some good reference materials for you: RENIX Fuel Injection manual http://www.pirate4x4.com/tech/billavista/PDFs/Jeep_Renix_Fuel_Injection_manual.pdf '88 Electrical Manual, similar but not identical to '89 http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=12734&hilit=electrical Body: pre '97 4-door Cherokees are the same from the front doors forward, except the floor. Front header panel is different for 91-96 than pre 91 Drivetrain: pre-91 all engine components and instrument clusters are the same, in '91 the HO was introduced with electronic speedo, different intake & exhaust manifolds with Chrysler electronics. A lot of stuff will swap even between pre and post '91. If you have specific questions, just ask. And don't forget to add your MJ to the registry http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=33
  7. On a similar topic, are lock cylinders for manual lock the same as power lock cylinders?

    Uncle Pete

A future MJ enthusiast perhaps? Congrats to the whole family.
  11. I've seen both nameplate styles on '87s at the JY, probably depends when the old ones ran out and the build date. However, on page 56.05.5 of the 1986/87 Jeep Parts Catalog (dated 1/88), COMANCHE is listed as '86 and Comanche is listed as '87.
  12. Which would render the rest of the window useless. But it would make the other one complete :clapping: I told SHANE if you want the whole thing you can have it, but if the deal falls through I'll still take the latch.
  13. That looks like the one I have that's made by Valley Industries, it hangs a lot lower at the ends than the DrawTite 75021 which I have on another of my MJs. Here's the DrawTite one, notice the exhaust.

  17. Yeah, I just ordered one at lunch today and it's already shipped . I was going to buy the e-Bay option #2 but thought what the heck I'll splurge. The engine I'm putting in looks immaculate (valve train and bottom end), I will rebuild the original and eventually put it back (got to keep it numbers matching  :rotf: ) and reuse this header. Here are some pics of the replacement engine (thanks to a fellow CC member), just pulled the valve cover and oil pan, nothing cleaned up.
  18. Welcome to the M(J)adness. Pictures please and don't forget to add it to the registry http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=33
  19. Has anyone used the Blackjack headers? How was the install on stock RENIX exhaust system, and modifications required?
  20. You can try adjusting it first, the adjustment for the TPS is here http://www.pirate4x4.com/tech/billavista/PDFs/Jeep_Renix_Fuel_Injection_manual.pdf, it's different for manual or automatic. This is also a good resource for your all your RENIX needs. BTW it's on the throttle body, the 4.0 is fuel injected, no carb.
  21. That would be the Oxygen Sensor.
  22. I think it's called drip rail molding.
  23. From what I've read on here you would have to change the radiator support and the firewall to get the 4.0 in there. By the way it's an '86 model, Comanches were launched July 1, 1985 as '86 models.
