  1. Couple of things. You can put the pics on photobucket and then post or another site like that. you should be able to do it from facebook, but I've never tried that. there is a thread about how to post pics on here somewhere. You may be able to pick up a back window at a junkyard. Check ebay and all those kinds of sites. They have them sometimes. You don't need a comanche to convert to 4X4. A cherokee will work just fine. Check out my build in my signature for ideas and more info. Good Luck!
  2. I posted the other day that the Louisville, KY Pull-A-Part has a very nice short bed MJ. Check them out. The bed and the whole truck looked to be in very good shape.
  3. Well, its silly to refuse to buy a Ford. My best cars have been Fords and Jeeps. And I've owned just about every make of American car. But if that's your opinion, I'd recommend a Jeep. You want a 4 door, so I'd say an XJ or a Grand. Always fun getting a newer car. Good Luck!
  4. Not sure, but I'd guess no. Someone else would have to chime in that has converted 2wd to 4wd.
  5. The tranny is actually longer for a 2wd because it has a output shaft designed to connect to the driveshaft. The 4wd tranny doesn't have that and hooks directly to the transfer case. If you are converting from 2wd to 4wd, you should need a shorter driveshaft, not a longer one. check this thread out for lengths. viewtopic.php?f=9&t=20131&hilit=stock+driveshaft+lengths
  6. Did some stuff today. Got the clock working from the donor. Cleaned and reinstalled the kicker panels. WOW! Now the drivers side carpet looks even worse. I cleaned it once, but I think it is beyond help. When I get some floor mats, it will help. Here are some pics... Compare this one to the post above that didn't have the kicker panels installed.
  7. Yesterday, I went to the Louisville Pull-A-Part and snagged a couple of working mirrors off an XJ. Put them on. Then I also got the little license plate lights from an MJ that was there. Once I got home, I realized that my passenger hockey stick shaped arm rest is loose at the top. The problem is a clip that is broken. I wish I would've realized that when I was at the JY. :headpop: Have to try to get one at the next trip. Got a price to get a new windshield put in for $235 installed. Will probably do that next weekend.
  8. 4.0 5sp. 2wd. Bed was in great shape. Full of stuff. Body overall was pretty good. Has been stripped some, but not alot yet. It would be salvagable if anyone is interested in the area. there is also an XJ with black interior that had some pretty good interior pieces. I got some new mirrors off an XJ and the license plate lights off the MJ. Before you ask, No I won't go get anything for you. It's an hour drive for me. I stopped there on the way to somewhere else. Sorry.
  9. Yep it will run like that. Move it a tooth and see if it fixes it. If it gets worse or won't start, then move it the other way. Good Luck.
  10. I have a donor vehicle. How about 10+shipping?
  11. Might be... I've got the ax-15.
  12. So, what do you want for the MJ? Do the power windows work? What shape are the doors in? How're the seats? Console? Windshield?
  13. I got mine from Quadratec.
  14. Paid $400 for my donor. Fix and sell that XJ...
  15. Somewhere between slow and real slow is my guess. Have fun...
  16. Man, I'd love to have that roll bar. That's the exact style I want. I haven't been able to find one... Love your truck.
  17. In my signature is a link to my build thread. I switched from the stock AW4 transmission to the AX-15 from a Jeep Cherokee of the same year. That is one of things I did during my build. (Still in progress).
  18. Search... Been done a bunch. Go over the the project forum on here. There are several that have converted from 2wd to 4wd. If you can get a donor vehicle, you'll be miles ahead. Another MJ or a XJ.
  19. Lock it over and forget about it. It doesn't keep 4X4 engaged all the time. It is simply keeping the axles engaged together like a 1 piece axle. It still is 2WD when you put it in 2WD. The front driveshaft is not powering the front axle unless you switch to 4WD. This is why Jeep did away with it in the early 90's. It was troublesome and didn't do any good for MPG in the firstplace. Jeeps have now had a 1 piece axle for 20 years. Locking it over simply makes it behave like all other Jeeps for the last 20 years. I locked mine over. Just one more thing I don't have to worry about going bad anymore.
  20. Shame you're in Fl. I'd sell you my spare 4.0.
  21. Have a look at this. I didn't read it, but it's long. Maybe some helpful info. http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=45309
  22. I'm pretty sure it has been done. Have you searched on here and other forums? I think it would be a great swap. Great engine with mucho aftermarket support. Good Luck with it.

JP is the only one I subscribe to. I look at others in Walmart or Barnes & Noble.
  24. Yep, cruise control module is the yellow box. Had one in mine. Removed it as I am not having cruise.
