  1. They eat book lice and dust mites. Keep him around.
  2. Clutch, I think I got confused as well. If the reservoir is losing fluid then the only places it could leak from are either the master cylinder, the hose or the slave cylinder correct? Correct. Sorry! I've been working on my brakes lately and zoned out, with my brain thinking brakes instead of clutch.

  4. I don't live in a sardine can, AKA LA. That's an insult to sardines! I will move from here as soon as I can but retirement is a few more months away. I envy all you guys who get to live in beautiful , uncrowded areas.
  5. These can help with ideas. http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/cto/2751329574.html http://sandiego.craigslist.org/esd/cto/2715802700.html
  6. Check for clutch fluid seeping down behind the fuse panel. This can wreak havoc on all the fuses and connectors.
  7. Also check your drum brake wheel cylinders. Those can leak as well and are fairly easy to change out.
  8. I would normally agree on the DD manual but in So. Cal. the typical speed in rush hour is around 5-10 mph. If you like shifting between 1st and 2nd gear about a thousand times, then manual is fine. I got the auto 88 just for commuting.
  9. It's illegal in CA but a lot of drivers continue to talk or text on cell phones , even in heavy traffic conditions. It's just not worth it!
  10. Welcome! And yes, more pics...
  11. The shock mounts for a MJ are on the leaf plate so I don't think you can use the XJ mounts. If I'm wrong, hopefully some one else will chime in.

  13. When I bought the 87, none of the gauges worked. I had no idea how much gas was in it. I had previously checked all fuses and and the gauges fuse was fine. I know some clutch fluid is finding it's way down to the fuse panel so I sprayed the gauge fuse connector with electrical cleaner and gave a good cleaning to all the relays in the power distribution panel. I put everything back together and voila!, I now have operational gauges. The leaky clutch mc will need to be dealt with at a future time.
  14. I would get a king size tempur-pedic mattress and cut the bedsides out of that. Memory foam. Good stuff! http://www.ehow.com/how_5779639_make-foam-car-body.html

  16. A lot of folks on CL don't list a number. They prefer to deal initially via email. P.S. That Comanche Chief you tried to get in Alpine was bought by the Jeep flipper in Vista. He paid 2500 and listed it the next day for 4500. Of course it wasn't selling so he was lowering his price but I have not seen it listed for a few weeks now. It was a VERY nice Chief and had a D44 rear.

    This sucks

That is sad to see. Honor it by saving all the goodies, including the rear slider.
  22. I have spare B pillars in blue but Krlyon Fusion works great if you don't like the color. I can dig them out of the shed on Saturday and post pics. $25 plus shipping from 92025. Let me know. Remi
  23. I think a while back I read a post from a member that had some very negative issues regarding a purchase from this seller.

    TV theme songs

I don't know how to post video or music but I always liked the theme song to Miami Vice with Phil Collins singing " I can feel it coming in the air tonight......", and those drums!! Oh, and the song for Wild Wild West was my favorite as a kid.
  25. I haven't done it but there's an adapter to allow standard thread filters instead of metric, which will give you more choice in filter size. Also, I think you can reposition the angle of the filter to suit the longer filters.
