  1. Please clarify exactly which screws you are asking about and PLEASE don't spell Comanche with two Ms.
  2. Necessity is the Mother of all inventions. I'm going to run all the way to the bank with the idea you guys have instilled in me. I'm going to buy loaves of various sliced breads, toast every slice, and then repackage it to be sold as Toast Loaf. I'll even sell raw toast to folks like Sam. Who else wants in, besides Jim?
  3. Did you see this one in Ramona? http://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/cto/2952536105.html or this one for only $17,000? http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/ct ... 36811.html
  4. I do mean disengaged, sorry. My transmission mount is only a year old. I bought it new when I found the AX15. I will double check it though since I had the tranny swapped from the 88 I sold. I think the motor mounts are OE so that may be the source as well. Looks like another weekend spent in the garage. :D
  5. Driving home today in the 87 and noticed a new vibration. If the clutch was engaged or if the shifter was in neutral, the shifter would vibrate quite a bit. There was no vibration when in gear. Since I had the pleasure of driving several miles in 1st and 2nd gear in lovely San Diego traffic, this new quirk was adding to my joy with each passing minute. What should I check to rectify this, and I'm referring to the vibration, not living and working in a sardine can.
  6. Follow whatever instructions there are on the container. I believe you need to ruff/scruff up the surface before applying the coating to give it a better grip. Bare metal should not be a factor either way.
  7. If it's just for a brief, temporary time, just use a filtering material at the mouth of the large air intake to prevent dirt from being sucked into the throttle and let the 3 smaller hoses dangle near the air box mounting section. It should be alright until you get to the PNP.
  8. Seems way too nice to be a donor but for $1000 I guess I can understand. That was a great find!
  9. Concerning question #1, I will let those more knowledgeable answer that. Regarding the price of the donor, I think $2k is a high price if you are only after the above mentioned parts. A 87 that was caved in by a tree and with those axles would go for about $500 - $800 in San Diego.
  10. For the least amount of cost, find a JY or parts XJ with the auxiliary fan and grab everything related to the fan. Your wire harness should have the required lines inside the harness cover. Get the connectors and the relay and the bolts.
  11. All of my 4.0s had them. Now if I could just get a female to ride as a passenger.
  12. Thanks for the pics. Are there any unwanted surprises besides the ones you mentioned ?
  13. Here's a link to some handy torque specifications. Near the top of the page you can click on "engine" and it will give specs for each. http://www.torkspec.com/torkspecmm.aspx?KI=1703

    What To Do?

  16. Is it possible to swap a 97+ door window into a MJ if I eliminate the wing window? I want to keep the manual window mechanism but like the cleaner looks of the one-piece glass. I know I can swap the entire door but was curious to how difficult the glass swap would be.
  17. Well that would be a silly place to put your rear bumper! :D
  18. All the parts stores carry these kits and/or the separate springs. http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/ ... uqezZ8kolh

    Floor Jacks

I thought this sounded familiar! viewtopic.php?f=3&t=27863&hilit=floor+jack
  20. I have not experienced that but it sounds like it is column switch related since the intermittent relay seems to be fine.
  21. TeamCherokee and Rock Auto have vacuum kits.

  23. Is this a TV show? If so, what channel?
  24. Here's a diesel WJ in San Diego. I don't know what the pros or cons are though. http://sandiego.craigslist.org/esd/cto/2883531096.html
  25. I have the same as Don on mine. They are high quality and hub-centric. If you go to the Spidertrax web site, you can find the "blemish" spacers for about $20 less and they are not structurally compromised.
