  1. $1200 86 lwb, 4x4, 5 speed 212k https://baltimore.craigslist.org/cto/d/1986-jeep-comanche/6985156599.html
  2. Excellent I’ll keep my eye on this thread and will be ordering soon. Thanks for taking the time to repop these, they look great.
  3. Are the 2.5 emblems coming soon?
  4. Did you check to see if the headlight switch plug was melted when replacing the switch? Mine was melted slightly and was the source of my gauge light issues. If that’s the issue the plugs are pretty cheap so I’d buy new. Also look into adding a relay harness to the headlights as it will reduce amperage going to your switch and reduce the likelihood of it melting or your truck catching fire.
  5. You could check the ground under the dash, have you went through cruisers tips? http://cruiser54.com/
  6. Those are slick
  7. Sounds like another excuse to have a edm music festival and take some recreational drugs.
  8. Pulled my front bumper off to paint it and install some Harbor Freight fog lights. Oem switch I used for the lights Also scored some chrome windshield trim that looks pretty sweet. Need to purchase some clips from teamcherokee since quite a few of mine were broken or missing, but there’s enough to hold it on for now. Also got some rugged ridge mats and loose fitting bench seat cover off amazon. It will work till I can get the bench reupholstered.
  9. Finally got around to putting in my gauge cluster with actual gauges. It doesn’t have the clip for the speedo cable but works just fine. Oil pressure sensor and the temp sensor Oil pressure seems pretty high which doesn’t seem like a bad thing and the temp sensor seems to be very sensitive since I can see when the thermostat opens up via the gauge dropping the temp.
  10. Very clean but I’d like to see under that carpet
  11. @Kalal92 Did some digging and it seems to be called a ventilation valve. Here’s the picture I found.
  12. Here’s the set up on my 86 with 2.5. Front of the valve cover seems to go to the throttle body and the rear to the air box.
  13. How melted is your headlight switch? I had similar issues, and mine was pretty toasted
  14. Vote for longbed/5 speed/4wd I use the truck to haul whatever yard debris I have, I like being able to choose my shift points, and it’s snows we’re i live occasionally.
  15. Spotted this Jeepster last night. Looked like a fresh restoration, very clean.
  16. That thing is awesome
  17. Congrats! I bought my first house last year and it’s been fun. Be ready for some projects that take precedence over your Jeep, I know ive had a few. Nonetheless enjoy the new house and the new pup both will be a great time.

  19. I second what eaglescout, I would be interested in just the lens if you decide that go that route.
  20. As a electrician I would defiantly suggest a rewire of your house. Now that your grounds are up to code at the panel running new Romex would be the best way to have piece of mind. And since there’s ghost voltage basically everywhere and your circuit breakers aren’t tripping even though your getting voltage to ground your wiring needs to be updated. This is a huge task but in one of your earlier posts you mentioned you have easy access to all the outlets and switches via the attic and craw space so since you have the ability I would do a rewire a room at a time starting with the kitchen. Then you can run your wire directly to what it needs to feed with no mystery boxes or splices. Do a little over time and then you will know that everything is done correctly.
  21. Glad to hear your swap when smooth. I was able to get the broken fitting sorted out, and I’m picking up the temp sensor today and hopefully swapping it with little issue. Gotta love working on original parts that have been in the same spot for 30 years. I’m gonna start using my torch a bit more on some of these old threads
  22. Good luck, when I was removing the oil pressure switch the stupid brass 90 completely snapped and broke off in my block soooo now I have to figure out how to remove it. Thankfully it’s s hollow bolt so no drilling required and should be able to just extract it. Just a warning
  23. I haven’t installed my sensors yet but plan on installing the oil sensor today after work. I couldn’t find the duralast he used but I found a comparable part number. I’ll post how it goes and the part number I used a bit later
  24. In your sub panel make sure you unbond the ground and the neutral. In any sub panel they need to be separate if you don’t already know.
  25. I ment that you could do this in your home panel so that your grounds and neutral wouldn’t be connected and there would be no neutral bleed on your ground wire but disregard that as I was wrong about the neutral and ground not being bonded. I apologize, just start opening boxes and find all the neutrals that are spliced to the added ground or any hots that may be attached. Also the first panel pictured your bonding screw is at the bottom (green) so your could try tightening it to make sure the bonds tight
