  1. How do you keep finding these old threads? This is a good one! My work bench. Plenty of grinders and lots of Ryobi. Lincoln welder, lots of hardware, and old toys. My full tool boxes, grear wrench's, and air compressor. More specialty tools and a case of brake clean.
  2. Welcome. It's a long list but every step is worth it.
  3. http://cruiser54.com/ Have you worked through cruiser54 list? It's a must for a Renix.
  4. I have been very happy with my Luk clutch. I just found out they are actually the sick clutch in some newer VW's.
  5. Found an interesting write up in a XJ book today. Hopefully Pete will approve.

    Tool Talk

Walked by one of the seasoned techs in the shop a couple days ago doing a brake job. He was installing the rear drum springs with what looked like the original version of this tool. After seeing him use it I felt I needed one. It makes installing the springs easier and a little safer.
  7. If the tank is cracked your chilling system won't build pressure. Replace the tank and retest.
  8. It's crazy how that happens. My uncle used to have a sign out sheet in his garage. I'm just now realizing I need one.
  9. Harbor freight has a pretty nice transmission jack that I absolutely love. Mine has seen better days for sure. It is an absolutely great thing to have. So for I have used it on the transmission, transfer case, gas tank, rear bumper, rear diff, and front diff. It will pick up the entire front end but the legs fold over. Woops! When I get around to doing the diff's in the XJ I will be buying another one.
  10. Wondering how you liked the long arms after they got you the right brackets. I didn't realize core had a long arm kit.
  11. I have seen both of those but AO is my favorite.
  12. I fairly confident the suffix is when the part number changed. It also indicate a part was changed. This gasket was added. I'm guessing original no gasket, AA first design gasket, AB both old and new design, AC all three designs. My true favorite is when it makes it to AO. The one and only time I've seen the letter O in a part number.
  13. Glad to hear your going strong!
  14. Haven't been here nearly as long but definitely the best place on the Internet.
  15. My REM shows 190 and my gauge is well under 210 but it's been a high of 25 lately.

    Well, damn....

This is the part where reporting of death from Covid and death while having Covid are now coming under scrutiny. If you got shot and died but had Covid it was reported as a Covid death.

Back to my original thought. We all need to agree to disagree! Neither side will ever agree with the other. That's kinda why they are called opinions. We all get to have our own.
  19. I've had mine a little over 4 months now. I would definitely but it again.

  21. No drill required. Just clamps to the bed sides.
