  1. Sounds like your knock sensor might be failing. This is exactly what it’s supposed to prevent.
  2. @krustyballer16 makes them. Check out his posts in the Vendors section.
  3. I don’t think any of us are terribly social, that’s why we build Jeeps and hang out here Let’s hear more about the Jeep! What’s the story behind it and what have you done to it?
  4. Some more progress has been made. The door jambs now have all of their bodywork done and the cab got another coat of epoxy primer. The underside of the cab was also bedlined with Raptor liner. There is a huge storage compartment under the floor that gets accessed in front of the rear seat.
  5. Exactly. The lack of overdrive definitely hurts the fuel economy with the 3.54 gears and the fact that I drive it like a regular car doesn't help either. It gets driven in stop and go traffic and spends time idling, which kills the mileage too. I bet if I just went on a nice cruise in it, it would be in the 20s.
  6. The idle smoothed out a lot, but all of the stuff I pulled off had sat for years and probably wasn't tuned perfectly. I'm not sure how much the MPGs improved because I didn't drive it on the road with the old stuff, but I get around 16 with the new stuff.
  7. Sounds like your brake light switch either went bad or is out of adjustment.
  8. Wildly unrelated, but those torque thrusts look great on that truck.
  9. This very much reminds me of my Eagle. I ripped off the computer controlled garbage and slapped a 2150 and HEI dizzy in its place. Felt like it doubled the horsepower of that car.
  10. Yes! I'll never be a customer of theirs just because of the moronic ads.
  11. I've heard the same up north. Maybe they should focus more on their payouts than their stupid gecko commercials
  12. Yeah, only looking at MJs the same model year is stupid. The 150 mile range makes some sense though, as that would be a 2.5 hour drive, which is fairly far and far enough for vehicles to have different values in the different places. That said, if they told you why your comps won't work and told you that it needs to be the same year and within 150 miles, I'd look for some comps that match their criteria. They should have no problem taking those then. FWIW, I have spent several years around bodyshops. I have been told by many many people that in terms of price, Progressive is cheap to insure vehicles. If something happens, they are one of the worst companies when it comes time to getting paid for damage. Now I'm sure a lot of that depends on the agent, but this has been a problem for as long as I can remember.
  13. That's what I fully expect it to be. I have noticed that it has been feeling like it needs shocks, which is irritating because they're only 6 years old and Monroes, but that's new parts for you.
  14. Yes, those will work. My brother ordered the exact same headlights I put in my Comanche for his J10s and it fit both of them correctly. For what its worth though, from what I have seen and from what my brother has seen, everything BJ's has to offer is typically more expensive than lots of other places. It is a small company though, so there's that.
  15. I went back and looked at some of my old pics. It looks like my passenger side motor mount is behind the driver side mount too. I'll also add that I installed the rubber mounts with the engine. No sure if that will make it easier, but that's what I did.
  16. I'm curious as to how this will work out, especially if it helps prevent axle wrap too. I need to do something with the rear of my truck because it doesn't take much to get it to squat and it wheel hops like nobody's business. I know my truck probably needs shocks, but if that doesn't cure it, I might have to look into something like this. It should help a lot with load capacity too.
  17. Changing the title should have no effect on the follow feature.
  18. Sounds like a plan. Everyone here is always a great help!
  19. Ok, good. Just wanted to double check that you were using the proper transmission. It is usually easier to do them together, but installing them separately is fine too. Could you post some pictures of what is going on?
  20. You might be able to clean the injector that you've got.
  21. In WI, there is only one person at one parts store who I trust to look anything up. Usually I find the part that I need online and will call the parts store with the part number if I need the part soon, otherwise I just order it off of rock auto.
  22. You’re using the trans that was behind the 4.0, correct?

That almost looks too nice to use for parts.
  24. Sorry to hear that. I hope everyone was fine.
