    Agreed. I think they look the best when the back of the door opening matches the factory MJ door opening.

    At the end of the day, it could be such a thing that the color of dye that AMC|Jeep used changed over time.

    We just use lighters/an aim and flame in my household. Careful not to burn the plastic on the wires.

    Sounds like the timing could be off, but I'm not sure how. That was an issue with my blue truck when we swapped the motor--the timing was 180 degrees off and it wouldn't start.
