  1. Except these glove boxes open down...

    Hornbrod update

Thanks for the update. I was wondering about them the other day.

    Tires

I love the Firestone Destination A/Ts on mine. Traction on wet grass is great, I haven’t really tested it on other surfaces yet, certainly not snow. They do seem to make a little bit of road noise on fresh asphalt at around 35-40 miles per hour. Other than that, they have been great for me.
  5. Yesterday I drilled holes and mounted the sportbar. It took some massaging to get it to fit right. This morning I have it a bath and took it for a spin to the stop sign down by our house (1 mile). The 4.0 and AX-15 felt great! My little brother and I were in the truck, my parents were at home. When I had turned around to go home, I stood in the gas. It had no problem breaking those 31x10.50s loose. My dad heard it from a mile away. This was the first time I had gotten the truck on the road and up to speed since the engine swap. The turn signals didn’t work though, we traced it to bad terminals in the fuse block. I think this is going to be the fourth of fifth time we’ve fixed these. After it rains the first half of this week and I get the new fuse block terminals in, I’ll finally be daily driving it again.
  6. Here is what the tilt lever looks like on my 88.
  7. I would say have them put down 20% on the part, otherwise it doesn't get loaded. I would plan your route and have people meet you at rest areas if you can't/won't make it to their house. If sure plenty of people would drive up to 2 hours to get a rust free bed up here in the rust belt. What are you thinking for your route?
  8. I would assume that the plastic is supposed to cover the metal tab. I'll try to grab pictures of the seats in my 88 later.
  9. I love Dynamat. I have it in my blue truck and you can hardly hear it running.
  10. Yes. Like next week! 50+ degrees and a few days of rain
  11. That’s what we figured. It was only pointed at our shop and my Dad’s truck.
  12. That is going to be HUGE!
  13. Welcome to the forum! Looks like it will be a move truck to build.
  14. Putting an HO flywheel in a Renix.
  15. We took inventory of the moldings. It looks like we only need to find two. We have several of most every other molding though!

    You do
  19. Tightening all of the lugnuts helps. We almost lost a wheel on my Dad’s YJ when it was stock. We 3 of them in the road. The other two were gone forever.
  20. How about driving your Jeep for 5,000+ miles without an air filter.
  21. Long ad warning! It looks nice, but it doesn't have the Comanche fender badges, is a 2wd (probably a base or a Sportruck), and has crappy pics and an even crappier description. https://losangeles.craigslist.org/ant/cto/d/rare-88-comanche/7280497436.html No VIN listed
  22. Here is the link: https://corvallis.craigslist.org/cto/d/blodgett-4x4-jeep-comanche-locked-and/7292436509.html You can see that the truck was painted together when you look at the engine bay pictures. I have a hard time believing that this truck will bring the money, but it only takes 1 person with a pile of cash.
  23. It seems to have a lot of the right parts, but it seems like all of the money and the pictures leave a little to be desired. VIN: 1J7FJ26L4KL412957
  24. The ad says no rust. 4.0, Auto, 4x4. Seems like it would be a good project for someone, if the no rust claim is true. https://cfl.craigslist.org/cto/d/lake-placid-jeep-comanche/7290570574.html

I really wish that any of my three trucks had had one, but so far, I am 3 and 0. Although, I haven't pulled the dash out of my blue truck yet, so there is hope!
