  1. Damn that's neat. I always struggled with building automobiles out of Legos. But I made some kick @$$ Star Wars ships. Still have all my Legos too. Mother hates it when I get more.

  3. 83504044(x1 needed) and 83504043(x2 needed) are your solenoid numbers. Catalogue doesn't say which is which Filter kit is this number: 5083122AA. Don't know who Chryslers supplier is. Probably Aisin or Warner as it is a joint project between the two companies for AW4.
  4. NO one go buy the Jeepair kit. Highly disappointed in it. The only thing of value in said kit is the R134a fittings. But the high side nut came "ovaled". Anyways I am making some damn good headway. Removed the lower dash last night and got the dash pulled this morn. But this looks surreal; Just gotta get back at it and do the engine bay. Also made an interesting discovery. Under the old air box was a piece of the build sheet taped to it. Odd place to put that. My 2.5L AC-less brothers, expect a DIY on this. I will not include a full detail of dash removal as there is already a very popularly referenced link to a dash removal.
  5. Well we got it out. Used a nubby screw driver and a pair of vice clamps and a phillips bit and we got the damn thing out.
  6. I like it! I have a few different options now. Thanks guys!
  7. Tell you the truth, I have no idea. Tomorrow I'm gonna run to home depot and get a 1/4 inch swivel and hope for the best. I'll have to try the needle nose pliers if the swivel fails. Guess its a good thing my dad did interior for minitrucks back in the day
  8. If my father and I don't figure something out, I'm gonna go ape on it.

  10. What the hell?! Sincerely, A loyal fan. Seriously though. All I really want to do is install AC and I run into stupid crap like this. How did I end up with a screw facing straight up to the windshield? All I can say is that I may need a new heater vent.
  11. This world is full of Wendy wastefuls. Kinda miss the depression generation of kids who saved EVERYTHING. But that is what I call a diamond in the rough. Be sure to register it!
  12. Oh god. That’s tons of fun. Neat! So in the middle of pirate and I. Except you’re probably closer to pirate.
  13. Lol that's true, we had hell of a monsoon last night
  14. Welcome to hell! Dry heat is better than humidity. Where at in grand ole AZ?
  15. Never mind. The part numbers are 82200074 and 75
  16. What’s the part numbers on the box? all I can make out is 898220_075? And 074
  17. I think it’s a neat thing. I’m not going to say everything they have is accurate. Maybe the 2.5L as I see somewhere around 18mpg but I digress. It’s neat to see what cars originally were rated for when they first came out on that model year.
  18. Neat. Thankfully I cleaned everything. I plan to do a well documented DIY for future AC-less 2.5L owners
  19. I plan to add a crap load of pics. As long as your set up is a serpentine and not V-belt, adding AC should be pretty dang straight forward. I recommend getting the AC kit from jeepair that is a R134a retrofit. But if yours is an '86 and you sourced from an '86, then you should have no issues with your parts. But the belt routing is important and '86 is an odd year. I'll do a DIY for us 2.5L guys, I feel ya on the lack of documentation and pictures.
  20. I did a little bit of part number digging and came across that the harness for the control deck is different between '86 and '87. But it gets discussed very often on here how some early production '87's could have used '86 parts until they ran out.
  21. Which harness? Engine side is the same for all years. Dash side is a tad bit tricky. I'm beginning my install this weekend. I have everything I need to make it plug and play. But I'm not sure if '86 has a specific dash harness. It should be a six prong plug that plugs in some where inside the dash. The year of your truck will be quite helpful for us.
  22. That ground point looks dirty JMO
  23. Mono is the way to go! Oh wait, that applies to records. I don't think I've ran into a mono setup for a Comanche though. That's probably like that from the factory.
