I'm sure you can still run the cams and factory computer. The computer should still be able to adjust.

The white which at one point was grey controls the heater valve for the core. The black one is what controls vacuum for your vents. There should be a reservoir in the bumper and one end should lead to a broken end that needs to plug into that line. Then you'll get your vent air back.

Well id imagine they are kept inside away from the weather so I would say they are in fine shape.

You have piqued my interest in the tool. Doesn't it require the MS-1700 though? Never mind. It is a stand alone.

Yup! Every time I do an adjustment to the TPS it does something funky with my engine. I can't explain it but it doesn't run right like she should. So I have to whip out my AMC TBI book and readjust it to the specs in the book. So his scan tool always throws his "Check Engine" light saying the TPS is out of spec when it really isn't. 88 TBI Renix. Everything is still on and attached and works as it should when she left the factory.

Highly recommend it. Really helps hunting down those pesky sensor issues. Course I think his program for the 2.5L is off but I digress.

They are pretty quality. Granted the cases are 3d printed but for what nickintimes is doing being a one man operation, it suffices. They do a pretty good job without spending a crap load of money on a snap on or hunting down an MS-1700. I'm pretty sure they will last as long as there are Renix Jeeps still on the road, like most of us.

As warren said they are pre OBD diagnostic connectors. Only three things can read the ECU. MS-1700, Snap on diag readers and Nickintimes REM scan tool.

Define trouble. The 2.5L was made when 55mph was still the national speed limit. I can see 65-70 no problem. It really boils down to your shifting and how well the engine runs.

Well, see Chrysler has reused codes over the years to mean other things. So unless you have an original build sheet to compare this one to, the original codes are lost. So these build sheets are not 100% accurate. But they are a build sheet.

Parts manual from that model year will say so. It is in the VIN decode but it seems like each model year changes the letter for the package. I have an 88 and an 86 manual on the way. But they won't tell me what Chrysler coded the VIN to in '91

Damn. I usually snag any decent parts Chrysler says we can toss like bolts and stuff but dang. could've made a killer on those parts.

No..when that one stroker found surfaced, I immediately looked and see if there was any and there was not. All it does is increase spark advanced and fuel flow.

No problem. Already had the catalogue up from when I did some this morn.

Sadly there are no crank shafts left. Which surprises me seeing how there’s some cam shafts.

Actually it seems upon further research, the oil pumps could be used on the 2.5L since Chrysler shows the pump to be the same for both engines.
