Probably. I did the same thing when I was installing AC as you can’t access that nut with the 2.5L radiator in the way. I had my dad wiggle the wheel back and forth to take out slop but slop never came out.

Just ordinary green ones will do. Update, The clear coat may protect the paint and nameplate but after a bit it turned to crap on the chrome plating. So I will leave that up to anyone's discretion to use clear or not. I used automotive spray clear.
