I think the busiest part was removing the ZJ gear box I got, huh forgot to mention I snagged that. Despite being easy to get to, those bolts were stubborn. I had to have @Pirate_Staz Help me with it. I think ill go back and snag the complete tan Wagoneer door panel set for my XJ one day.

Thanks JT. Well I went to AMC salvage to snag what I could find on my list. Came back with more than I anticipated finding and working for. Snagged a few chrome metal handles painted one black already: It is coming out quite nice. Managed to snag a power lock and window harness with relays so as per Minuit I will cut it up and modify it to use on my power locks. Snagged a few other things, black mini console, right side only cab vents which was odd to find only the rights in the back of an XJ under interior, MJ back panel, silver dash bezels, cordovan illuminated visor, cruise control pieces and some lights for my XJ. Oh also got these door protector pieces: They were chrome but didn't want that so I painted them too. I never have seen these before and all the XJ rear doors had their own too. Hopefully I will do more today but we shall see, Plan is to tear apart the interior again and replace the rear speakers with the right size speaker for the brackets and replace the door seals and put in some sound deadener.

That reminds me, I need to give those guys another call about the windshield decal. Wonder why they didn't tell me about this project. Would make sense why the windshield was on the back burner at their operation. Looks really good! Nice going!

Lol. Ill admit, I am good but have an advantage. Redmistress has been doing it a long while, not sure if he can say he has ever found NOS tails before. Ghetdjc320 knows some sort of secret. Kinda like the secret to the universe but with taillights. -

Wow. Nice score. There are a couple sitting around but that one you have right there lists out at a whopping $230. -

Oooooo. Nice. Where did you find that and how much did that set you back? -
Do his valve cover. They have plenty but I can’t find the bolts for it.
-
Lol. Never seen it before.

You know. I have never looked at YJ parts. Lets go see. Pete is probably right on this one. Catalog shows there to be a D44, comes with a ratio of 3.54 as the only option. But if one is found with a D44 I am curious to know if it is a non U.S. thing to have them or not.

Probably right about that. I got the wiring and switches from Blaine and he has been very helpful on how he installed the set up in his truck.

I didn't plan on that, the wiring diagram doesn't show any in conjunction with the circuit, just a 30 amp breaker. I've been testing the wiring without any relays and it works as it all should.

Agreed. Especially with this recent so called rain storms we have had for the past week, it makes taking things that shouldn't get wet a lot easier.

Will do! I know they have a whole tray of bolts and stuff so I will do my best to locate the OEM ones.
-
Well aside from doing the power lock project I decided to use some tax return money and get myself something I have been eyeing for a bit. It is a Downey Products tonneau cover. Set me back $300 but it was definitely worth it. I am impressed with its quality and design. Perfect for going places and hiding stuff away without worrying about some on lookers eyeballing your stuff in the bed. That should give me piece of mind about my stuff.

I will try. I can see if they have the bolts as well for it. I know they have engine torn apart and they have just some covers laying around. They do have ZJs but no KJs. Trust me I feel you. We have junk yards here but as soon as a Jeep hits the yard, everyone flocks to it because of the rust free parts. Sometimes guys will just buy the whole thing outright and just make a trail rig out if it

I am going to AMC salvage tomorrow. I have seen some of the metal covers there. I will snag you one.
-
This is true. I find that one to be vastly superior to the aftermarket options that are available.
-
Simple. Make the title of your post your VIN and add details that you already know about your MJ. Then I fill in the rest with a 90% accurate build sheet. There is a detailed instruction post that talks about this.
-
I completely removed all my pieces to paint them. You could get away with tearing out the dash and paint but if yours is cracked from the sun, I would recommend just having it redone if I was going to go that far to paint it.
