  1. Cruise control stalk wire. That wire runs up from the bottom of the column up to the turn signal stalk.
  2. 5012968AA or AB is the Mopar numbers I use. There is an older number of 3300 but the first two are what Chrysler superseded the number to and are readily available still. Hopefully they will help cross-reference. But the Renix 4.0 and 2.5's used the same oil filter so yes they say vertical but you can use it. A good note to remember is us 2.5's float in a sea of 4.0's.
  3. Uh yall may just want to avoid this MJ. @CoastChief went there as did someone else and when he got there, that MJ was molested with hardly anything MJ specific left other than the cab, rear flares and bed. There is a reason why it is there. It has minor bed damage from something but someone totaled it and took the money and ran.
  4. That's actually what goes there is 4x6 speakers so yes. As long as you have the wiring, throw em in.
  5. I just went and looked. It does not. It describes the injector "pulse" which is determined by the ECU for how long it should spray before the ECU breaks contacts and does another pulse. Refers to the MS-1700 for testing and apparently that machine did a lot and I mean a lot.
  6. This got me thinking. Prior to my ownership my grandfather asked me how I liked his "replacement J-hooks" for the gas tank straps. I will have to snap a pic of his genius work but All it is is a long threaded rod, threaded into where the hook would sit. Anyways this makes me think that I could have the nuts tightened just high enough that the tank could be slightly tilted enough and with that sag only exaggerates it further. This has me really thinking, good stuff gogmorgo!
  7. Another 2.5L TBI book for the collection.
  8. So that's not a true Chief as it doesn't bare the JH class.
  9. To add on to the list of axles the Honda passport and Isuzu rodeo from the 90’s have disc D44’s
  10. Wow mustve been a day where I missed your comment, its an extra step in the process but its worth a shot.
  11. Ive done that too with some success. I still have to catch it at the right moment though. I have another theory but I don't think it will solve the problem. Anyways I do have this topic posted somewhere if we do want to continue this without hijacking this thread.
  12. You too huh? I went through every piece attached and replaced some pieces to the tank and came up empty handed. Mostly what I came up with is watch the pump and know the volume that goes in your tank and listen for the nozzle to start sounding like it is filling up a cup or bottle to the top.
  13. That probably wasn't cheap for them to do, but that is rather neat piece of history right there.
  14. Update 5/21. Been a bit Upgraded temp sensor with Mopar one due to my stupid self cleaning the needle to find out it is reading wrong. Thought it was the temp sensor but no it was me when I wiped a speck of the needle to the gauge. Oh well got a Mopar with better piece of mind Rebuilt clutch master, I still think theres an air leak somewhere and I think the threaded fittings need Teflon tape. Side note the fluid is holding and still the red color from the grease and not pitch black. Also learned that my self from four years ago was pretty damn stupid to Jeeps and maintenance in general. Decided to finally tackle the shackles(incidental rhyme) and come to find out I mounted one of them backwards. Went and looked at Gjeeps restoration progress to see how his were mounted and sure enough the drivers side is back wards after FOUR years! Probably the cause of my semi rough ride for the drivers side. Anyways, I got a set of XJ shackles and harvested the bushings from them. After a few hours with a ball joint press and shaving the bushing metal I finally pressed ONE in and decided to call it a day once I got every thing back together. And yes I made sure to mount the passenger side right with the metal face of the shackle facing out back. Now to do the drivers side tomorrow and fix the orientation.
  15. That’s funny. This one is still one of my favorites of Jeep memes
  16. Yeah I guess it was one of those thing he had that was just blatantly obvious to me but may not have been for others.
  17. How close is it to the serp belt? AC or no AC? I have a couple pics of that area. Here is one to reference; (before AC was added)
  18. That is entirely possible, but I wouldn't worry about it too much like I said. Its just a shock absorber that AMC put there for whatever reason. I know the engine can give off harsh vibrations with sputtering or leaving it in gear on deceleration but that's about all I can think of for that shock.
  19. That shock is hard to find/irreplaceable. Just keep it and clean all the gunk off of it and it is good to go. Looks like it could use a degrease bath.
  20. 2.5L. Only the 2.5’a have that shock.
  21. I helped in out with finding all those wires except two, the grey and purple. Could not find either of them in my 86 diagrams. But found out that the black one goes to the ebrake switch up to the light.
  22. It would but it has the ebrake delete meaning it is an MJ console.
  23. I have an update list from Chrysler in my signature. But it will probably show how outdated that is. Although that is a really neat book.
  24. Just might have to, granted its probably closing time over in NY for them right now. Ill give em a call and see what they can do.
  25. Lol you got me there, bottle is still in good shape and the VC has the AMC logo on it and the radiator is factory. Now I think I can make the shipping price a little more convincing.
