So I’m learning how y’all handle the rusty floors. Having an anemic air compressor doesn’t help me much but I am in no rush to get the floor done. That being said I have started the rust repair trials. Now I am pleased to report that the frame is in beautiful shape and if there is any rust, it was wire wheeled away from existence. I will be spraying it with spray paint to prevent any further damage if any. Here is todays cancer removal: Leaves were not in the Jeep, just apart of the sweeping pile haha.

If it’s one thing with this quadrajet it’s another. I somehow manage to break parts without any intention. Actually I broke the accelerator pump by accident as I couldn’t figure out how to disassemble it and that’s my fault but now it’s the metering rod. They come in a pair and are a pain to seat correctly and if you jam them into the jets, you can seriously mess up the tips. And that’s what magically happened when getting ready for the assembly of the upper half of the carb. Found out when I found out I put on the wrong gasket. Man GM could not pick a carb design and stick with it. Anywhooooo I am delayed by another week, I am patient, the car has spark and I have no doubt that it will fire off once together. Yes and no. It uses the same brake switch, but uses one that has two extra sets of terminals on it for the cruise control plug.

Yeah that bumper is a nice find and save! Those are the two mirrors. Less common than the vent window set up but desirable to some.

That’s actually the plan. Hang the waggy and the Laredo headers I have. Use a low voltage converter so the lamps don’t get too hot or have to be replaced quicker.

Precisely. How did you mount it on the wall? The four studs up top or the side fender mounts? That’s pretty cool. I plan to do something like that except the flashing. Although that would be cool to have as a feature to turn on the hazards.

Nope. They rarely pop up. The only other one I and probably other members have seen was on a junkyard MJ.

I’m pretty sure the catalog just calls it a rear step bumper. It’s very similar to the J-truck rear bumper but made specifically for the MJ. The later bumper was made to fit the style of the front.

That is a really rare factory 86 only bumper. Just an FYI.

This one I have a better idea on than actually hanging the header haha. I have an idea on how to hang the header as well but want to see if theres any good ideas out there that might be like mine.
