I appreciate that! As far as stress goes, its not too bad. What makes it bad is if I do them everyday and I was for a while until I hit a couple different weeks where I didnt and did them on the weekend and realized its a lot better for me to do them all at once and get the stragglers that trickle in until Monday hits.
-
You should and we all probably should, course we shouldnt grab them if theyre rotting away. That being said they would be great templates if someone needs them and have them sent off to be remade by oreillys or what have ya.
-
Sorry about that haha, my life is busy and by the time i am on CC,I am mentally relaxing to where I don't do them during the week. So when the weekend hits, I knock them all out and wait for new ones to trickle in until the cycle starts over again. That being said about the tach, its a lost code at this point. Glad the paint code is correct though! Chances are you will find red behind the doors and under the carpet.

Yes, this is something you do not want to rush. Go slow with the tightening and don't be afraid to grab hold of the hoses to prevent them from turning. That being said, it also want hurt to rid the lines at the fittings of all the corrosion.

2.5L Throttle Body Removal & Cleaning
eaglescout526 replied to White_Comanche's topic in MJ Tech: DIY Projects and Write-Ups
This gets my seal of approval! Well done. 87-90 guys, you don't have to worry about the extra vac lines at the base of the TB, ours has the two tubes. Also did you use the Standard TBI rebuild kit for yours?- 9 replies

I think you should be good to take the old one off and run it. Chances are since the system is such an old system, I highly doubt there were these switches and stuff in place other than the low pressure switch.

Vacuum cannister differences
eaglescout526 replied to Billabob's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Wait….they’re different? I always figured they’re both the same. -
Vacuum cannister differences
eaglescout526 replied to Billabob's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Chrysler used the same shape football for their HOs. It can be confusing to those who aren’t familiar with parts(thanks Chrysler). OP, you will need the same shape canister but with 4 holes, two per side. They are getting harder to find these days. -
Every day and night with Chunk...I feel ya. Also; this is funny. I taught my wife all the Jeep vernacular and slang so she is caught up to par with us.

Will this cluster work with my Jeep?
eaglescout526 replied to robfg67's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Yes that cluster will work. You’ll need to change out the senders for sensors for oil and temp. -

Yeah that’s one thing you have over me at the moment. I’ve still got lots to swap before I can turn the key. Glad universal cats are cheap given with all the thefts and prices climbing of them. -

eaglescout526 replied to eaglescout526's topic in Member Projects: Other Cool Stuff
Ok that pic might drive me nuts! Hahaha. I am glad you know the pipes, for me it looks like the natural vacuum of the engine recycled the fumes from the cat instead of using an air pump. Well that answers my question on what to do with them, cut em off and plug the holes since I probably can't work them into the Renix system. -
Oh boy....the P.C. world is gonna start harassing MJ owners. Beat them with brains and kindly inform them it pays respect to the tribe. If it wasnt for Jeep, songs and other media use of tribe names, the names would be lost to time. You look up Comanche and I am pretty sure you will find the nation and the name of a horse from the mid 1800's. Then what? Its not like the educational system teaches us these native nations and a specific horse. Any who I see it as respect and homage to the nation, same for the XJ.

Haha glad I’m in the same boat with someone. Love watching your Eagle build. Farther along than I but I had a floor to repair. That reminds me, since you and are are basically doing the same thing with our AMCs, how much of the old ECE harness did you have to yank out? I feel it’s the same for both of us here. Oh and does your Eagle have pipes from the cat to the engine bay?
