Hold on. This is Renix, the one on the back of the head is still the gauge only. The Renix one if I recall correctly is a switch in the radiator or the condenser. I don’t remember but the HO one is a wise upgrade over the one in the radiator(again if I remember right). Also Minuit will tell ya to get a fan shroud. They are stupid important and are there for a reason.

I think I have a AMC/Renault book on the 2.1L, probably not for its injection system though.

The carb system is out. All that is left to yank is some emissions stuff and the old fuel lines. It still looks like a huge mess, I blame the AC lines and the vac canisters...I don't know how I am gonna fix that eye sore but I know I need to move them for the Renix relay bracket.

What makes it bad is if I do them everyday and I was for a while until I hit a couple different weeks where I didnt and did them on the weekend and realized its a lot better for me to do them all at once and get the stragglers that trickle in until Monday hits.

Yes, this is something you do not want to rush. Go slow with the tightening and don't be afraid to grab hold of the hoses to prevent them from turning. That being said, it also want hurt to rid the lines at the fittings of all the corrosion.

I think you should be good to take the old one off and run it. Chances are since the system is such an old system, I highly doubt there were these switches and stuff in place other than the low pressure switch.

Chrysler used the same shape football for their HOs. It can be confusing to those who aren’t familiar with parts(thanks Chrysler). OP, you will need the same shape canister but with 4 holes, two per side. They are getting harder to find these days.

You might have to go further. 84-86 is a different animal than 87-90. The first header panel has studs that go into the fenders vs the fenders having the studs already.
