Can Spell Comanche (2/11)

If you don't mine me asking, how do you look them up? I've always wondered that.

They did a decent enough job painting the truck though. The door jams are painted the same as the exterior. As for life being busy, I completely understand. You do a ton for this forum and I thank you for that. I couldn't begin to imagine the stress of looking every truck up and doing the things you do.

You have no idea how many times a day I'd check in to see if you commented yet haha. I thought it was Red due to the under side of the truck but I wasn't sure. I also appear to be missing the Tach so it makes me wonder if the cluster has been swapped at some point.

1988 jeep comanche 4.0L with the automatic trans. It is a short wheelbase 2wd truck Build date: unknown Current Location: the truck will be living in pflugerville texas Status: she's definitely a project. I picked her up for $900 not running or driving. I plan to lower it a little and then daily drive it. She's comanche #2 for me.

My comanche got sponsored! This is a huge step to having my comanche back on the streets again. Pictures look a little funny due to making them work for Instagram

I forgot to share that I also recently found a ax-15 and np231 out of a cherokee for $500. Supposedly the jeep ran and drove when it was pulled but I got the intermediate plate and mount too. Bye bye ba-10

Today as a " reward " to the truck for starting it got a new bumper. It's not the best but for $50 I couldn't complain

Last weekend I was finally able to get the truck started! My issue was that the starter switch was bad and wasn't sending power to the gauges or the computer. It only sent power to the starter. 20220901_191045.mp4 VID_380810905_213316_274.mp4 I also had to replace a few fuses because I suppose in the trucks past life it had a leaking clutch master cylinder which destroyed the fuse box. I was thankfully able to score a whole uncut interior harness for $175 so that will get replaced soon enough. Next up was the fuel system. It had the wrong top hat and so I pulled the tank and apon further inspection I noticed the tank was full of rust so both of those are being replaced too. Thankfully everything will be in by next weekend so I can try to get it to idle.

Dang, that's not to far from me.

Thank you! I'll have to test this when I get back to the truck this weekend

I'm not getting any voltage to the icm. I checked all the wires that go to the icm. What would be the best way to test the fusible links?
-
I believe they are. The truck will turn over but it just Is getting no power to the ignition coil or the distributor. I'm not sure where I can test if the ecu is getting power because that's my next concern.

Goodish news! I went and got another cps from Napa and after installing it I have .57 v AC. I unfortunately still have no spark. I have no power going to the distributor or coil. What could that be?

Hello, I'm looking for help / advice for my cps issue. I finally got my truck to turn over for the first time and I was getting a no spark condition and after doing some research I landed on cruiser54's tip #7. I tested the original cps in the truck and got .32 v of AC, so according to that tip my cps was probably bad. I went to Napa and got another and drilled it out to help get a stronger signal and now I'm reading only .26 v of AC. So my question is, did I just get a bad cps or could something else be at play here? If I have to get another one where would be the best place to go or should I give Napa another shot?
