  1. This is why I took everything off of my truck before sending it to the body shop. They may damage or do other weird stuff. I remove the bumpers, fender flares, vents, door trim, mirrors, cowl panel, everything.
  2. Got mine ordered. Green with rocker panel.
  3. Was impressed until I saw under the hood
  4. I did it in my truck. It's not as simply as just swapping the shifter... You need a new steering column and the new cable linkages.
  5. Swapped it over with generic rivets. The plastic covers it.
  6. Anyone 3D printing the housings yet? I'm going to feel bad chopping mine up...
  7. Name your price. Located in Orange County.
  8. Bought a set of reproduction lenses and want to avoid chopping up my somewhat decent set. Just need the plastic housing, broken lenses is fine. Will take one or both.
  9. Not sure, but have a feeling that it’s either a “no” due to age or super expensive. What year/model is your truck? I’ve got a template I can share. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Damn, you got yours already? Mine is still somewhere in UPS land. Hopefully get it this week. Went with the black trim.
  11. Might be able to get it registered (but not titled in CT). They don't title vehicles over 20 years old, and there is no smog/inspection for that age either. But you can register pretty easily. After you get it registered there, bring the registration to CA to get it titled there. I'm going through this right now with a somewhat similar situation (but my truck IS in the CA system as of ~2019).
  12. What voltage is coming from the O2 sensor? If it's not varying, it's a bad O2 sensor.
  13. What are your plans for rear suspension? SOA seems super high. SUA is probably too low.
  14. Which LSD did you end up going with?
  15. I bought a pair. Will share how they look when I get them.
  16. I think I saw that up for sale on CL in Massachusetts. Is that the one?
  17. There should be a switch somewhere on the manual transmission that indicates when it's in reverse (to turn on reverse lights). I'd trace that back and see if it is connected anywhere (possibly needs to be plugged in here). There should be a connector for the automatic TCU (passenger firewall), as well as the transmission itself (for NSS). If you want to get creative, you can figure out what wire triggers the reverse lights, as well as which one connects to the starter relay (to only allow start in Park or Neutral).
  18. That hood and console...
  19. The misaligned "Comanche" fender badge kills it for me. Sorry, but if you are looking for a premium price, you better get all the small details right...
  20. Anyone here bought Rusty's 4.5" full-spring leafs for SUA lift? Looking to find the measurement from center axle to bottom of fender flare. I will be lifting the front of my truck ~5" and want a "flat lift" with little to no rake. If you have other brand full leaf packs installed for SUA, happy to hear what those lift heights netted too.
  21. Will let you guys know how they come out once printed. The under-hood emissions label is unique to the year, engine, and CA/Fed status. The VIN sticker is unique to the model GVWR and VIN (with scan-able VIN barcode). Depending on how the printed decals look, I may consider taking orders, but it would take a bit of time to customize each one.
  22. Great project! Any plans to do a 4WD conversion?
  23. Looks like an awesome project to finish up. I'm astonished at how far forward that front axle is pushed. What's the wheelbase on that thing?
  24. My truck was almost exactly like yours. It's an '88 from southern California. No rust, but the paint was totally shot and had patina/surface rust in a few areas. I debated for a long time on whether or not to keep the patina, paint it myself, or get it painted. In the end, I spent ~$4k to get it professionally done. It's not a $10k "show-quality" paint job, but I'm pretty happy with it. The bed was removed, door jambs, and underside of the hood all painted. If I had to go back and do it again, I would definitely opt for a body shop to do the work. Before... After...
